Beautiful ride on a line that seems almost like it's made for watching through the front window. And the autumn colours make it even more picturesque. Great video!

I love that there's another video of this route and its just a few seconds off of this videos length, ~2hr 17min. Japanese train punctuality is amazing!
Absolutely great cabride through west Shikoku, have to visit this island once, visited just Honshu during my 3-weeks visit to Japan in 2015. Enjoyed a lot the route through the green countryside, thanks for sharing the video, greetings from a fellow creator from Germany!
I am so happy to have found these videos! I was on some of those trains myself back in 2017 / 2018 when I did the shikoku pilgrimage. Good memories! Thank you for sharing!

Those videos help me fight the endless pain I could not visit japan for 7 years, wanted to visit 2020 and then lost that planned 6 month trip to covid restrictions... Maybe in the next years I can finally visit again.

I love Japan, it is so fascinating. What is this signal at 11:00?
@mthsu2 жыл бұрын
It's the Automatic Train Stop system, ATS. It begins with a bell noise like telephone ringing at 10:39 and then the continues signal noise you mention. The track ahead is on red light, signaling the train to not enter the section until it's clear to be safe. And the ATS system will kicks in automatically if the operator didn't respond to the signal noise accordingly in time. In this case it is signaling the train to stop in front of the right light where there is a switch between two different tracks. If you look closely at the track ahead you can see the switch switching between two tracks and then signal a green light when the switch is done. at 11:51 So the system is asking the train to stop at the spot waiting for the tracks to switch.

What is the alarm that sometimes sounds before stations?
@A_T_Aki3 жыл бұрын
It is a sound that flows when you should not overspeed.
