This is my hometown. Macon Georgia is a great place for railfans. If you can on the weekends, check out Central City Park and look at the beautiful G and C trains with their beautiful orange yellow and black paint designs 👍
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
It's awesome. I always like to railfan there. I know the park and I actually railfanned GC once. There is a short video on my channel in the "Shortline Railroads" playlist.

Now you're Macon bacon! Always enjoyed your videos from there. Lots of action. Matter of fact your videos could be 10 hours long and that wouldn't be long enough! Share the popcorn!
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Lol, that I am :) It's definitely one of the more favorite places for railfanning in Georgia. Haha, I was worried about the health condition of people who watched these videos for 10 hours and ate popcorn all the time!
I live in Egypt. I love your videos too You've signed up with Lake for all of your videos ^_^.

What made NS 322 use 7 engines? How long was it?
@michaelwelhausen4887 жыл бұрын
Another day, another great mbmars01 Video! Just wondering if you caught any High Hood units while you were there? Saw one a couple of years ago in Spencer NC but thought they were a disappearing breed. Figure if they were anywhere, they might have a few in Macon. Perhaps in Part 2 of the Macon story?
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I actually caught one last year in Macon. It's in one of the older videos (don't ask which lol).

There is a place in Florida where NS and CSX cross,making a diamond.. Come out and try it sometime and not too far from the diamond (Crawford) Is Folkston GA..Just giving some interest ideas to you and is 1137 a SD-70-ACU?
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Thanks for reminding me. I've been to Folkston and know of the diamond, but haven't been to this one. NS #1137 is an EMD SD70ACe.

Looks like NS 8465 (Ex-LMSX C40-8W) needs to be sent to Chattanooga for a new coat of NS paint STAT! [BTW, there is a website run by a railfan named Chris R. Toth that covers the entire NS diesel roster, and 8465 is currently listed as stored.]
@mbmars017 жыл бұрын
Indeed, new paint needed! There are various great, inofficial websites for basically all railroads that try to keep track of the current rosters. For example, just search for "Norfolk Southern motive power". Given the numerous ongoing changes, they cannot be always up-to-date at any time.
@tom-and-mom5 жыл бұрын

Well, you, the locomotive and the sun must be in the right angle to get reflections.
