I added this very screen (but in clear) to my new rebel yesterday. I can completely agree with you statement about it being the "must have" screen, the mount alone is far superior to other brands.

great video! I used to live in San Diego as well, now I'm in Nashville and have a rebel 300 for back country roads. If i were still in California I'd definitely need the 500 people are crazy there in terms of speed

I have a 2022 Rebel 500 and recently installed the Puig "Naked" version of the windscreen. The wind now hits me in the head area but I too think it's a good trade-off from getting me in the chest area. I also like the look of my smoke colored screen. Your review is pretty much spot on. I installed the Puig ''Naked'' version too on my Triumph Street Twin, Wind on the chest is gone but I get a lot of wind buffeting around my head which is really annoying IMO I can't even hear the Engine.

I just purchased a Honda CMX Rebel 300, and really like the look of the Puig windscreen, but every website that I look at, says they don't fit my bike. I'm not sure whether to try them anyway. They should be universal mount to the bikes I guess?

So I know this is an old vid..but I've just come across it :) .. New rider..and I got a used 2021 Rebel 300 (wanted the 500)..I did get the 'Tinted' (light smoke?).installed myself...and at 5'4 it definitely is nice not hitting my chest, but the buffering on the top of my helmet I'm trying to tell myself it's worth it :)... hubby had me use some ear plugs, and that seemed to help some. - 2yrs later, do you still have the bike and what do you think?

I no longer have the Rebel but I’m 6ft so the wind moved over my shoulders at least. You can always tuck down a little bit to get that extra bit of wind over the helmet completely

Need your opinion please: Just bought a 500se. Love the bike but the wind is really bad above 60. I like the look of that screen. I really would like to keep the stock headlight cowl. It looks really nice. Its a 2021 model. Would that screen fit with the stock cowl setup?

What is the measurement, top to bottom, and left to right of the opening for the headlight. Looks like it might be big enough for the 500se cowling. I suppose it could even be enlarged a bit if necessary.

@@dalegarrard9446 I have a 2021 SE model with the cowl and I've been looking a windshield as well because the wind noise in/on my Shoei RF-SR is making my tinnitus much worse and driving me insane. I can feel the cowl directing wind starting right at the bottom of my helmet and up. I'm 5'7". I have found 3 Puigs that use a universal handlebar mount system rather than using the triple tree pinch bolt attachments. This other mounting gives flexibility in placing the windshield. Check out Puig Windshield New Generation Touring, Windshield New Generation Sport and Windshield Trend. I've seen a few places guys liking shield by Slipstream that also uses an adjustable handle bar mount. Trying to decide which of the three will work best and bum me out the least looking at. :-)

Yes it will. Some people have even ran the honda cowl with it but that looks weird in my opinion. Otherwise the mounting is all the same. The difference is the newer LED Headlight on you year will not fill as much of the cutout as my 2017 does.

It was passed onto me from a guy who sold me extra side panels. I did some googling and ended up finding it some time ago. It was made by a company who doesn't produce them for sale anymore. American made, can't remember the brand.
