Great Video , Thanks so much for posting it. I have a question , I did a tear down yesterday of my 2000 4r70w and found no snap ring/spacer that the reverse band sits on. In your video you say its not an absolute so is it safe to re assemble without it or is best to try and locate one?

That was very enjoyable. Thank you. Though he did promise to talk about the valve body upgrade and skipped it (I take it for another video). Speaking of which, online I could seem to find a hydraulic circuit diagram for the AOD and the later models. Any chance you can share one?

Hopefully we covered that in the upcoming inspection video. I do not have a complete hydraulic diagram for this transmission family. Did a quick Google search...and nothing.

My truck is running good oil was topped off running like I do normally then also had a lot of wine like a power steering pump pulled over and checked for oil oil look good continue to drive and eventually lost 3rd 4th and Overdrive. Now when I drive I only have first and second and it'll kick itself in neutral for 3rd and 4th no overdrive if I turn the overdrive off it stays in first and second only it don't try to neutral shift I'm thinking the overdrive band snapped or that little clip dropped off in his valve body and clogged

So quick question I have the 4r70w trans and when it's cold it will shift fine but when it warms up it starts slipping it's got about 285000 miles on it

Hello! Nice video! Can you help me? I have ltc3 2004, p0782, no 2-3 shift, gearbox works correctly beside 3rd gear, it is not slipping, only stayng on 2nd, when i reach 40mph it shifts 4th. Oil and filter replaced, it was ok, not fired. Thank you!

Will the gearset and valve body from an 01 work in a 92 or 93 case?
