4st 7lbs Manic Street Preachers Cover

This is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the holy bible album. '4st 7lbs' A beautiful self reflection of anorexia, written by Mr RIchey Edwards. A subject difficult for many. Lyrically and musically it is incredible. Wow its a tough one to play. I must have tried it 30 times, my fingers are killing! But this is the price we pay for such a great band, a great album by manic street preachers

This has been one of my favourite songs since I was a teenager. I identified with the album, still do. It's all the more poignant now, since my little sister was hospitalised after 7 years of anorexia, inching toward the precipice of life. It's such a brutally labyrinthine, multi-layered, self-sustaining illness, you can never begin to understand until you live with it. I well up every time I hear this, without fail. A fine rendition.

Only cover that does the original justice. Great job, pitch is spot-on, the emotion is just right, and the fingerwork looks incredibly difficult, but you not only pulled it off but absolutely nailed it - overall fantastic job!

Amazing work, playing that riff on acoustic over and over takes a lot of patience ( I know!) I lowered my intonation and that helped a bit. Do you do Elliott Smith covers?

@@Lynseyhogan1 I have ADHD so just sitting down to practise for more than ten minutes drives me to distraction. But when it's a song you love, it doesn't feel like real work. PS I mentioned Elliott Smith because like the Manic's, both sets of songs just blend so well with the female voice. You have a voice that is very pure and that doesn't over emote like the other nine hundred thousand singers on youtube. Now, Smith had a different type of voice and singing, but singing in your way, will make it different and stand out more. Angeles is an obvious cover, but needle in the hay or kings crossing is as dark as anything on the Holy Bible (and I don't say that lightly)

I really love your voice. It's so airy and borderline angelic. And your guitar sounds almost identical to the one in the acoustic version. This song is so great, it helped me cope with my eating disorder years ago. :)
