Would've been nice to see the oreintation of springs and spacers alittle better and verbally explained. Most of the accumulator rebuild was off camera. Also, when you reassembled the accumulator and shook it, it rattled. Was that a problem? How did this kit improve your trans problem?

Orientation of the springs doesn't matter, spacers just sit on the rod. The rattle is just the spacer riding on the shaft. I don't have a voice. I did this to prevent the common issues the 4t65e have with weak shifts. I noticed the shifts were faster, only thing I don't like is when I have to downshift from 3rd, it will slam into 1st now

I'm debating doing this on my 02 Rendezvous, which is slipping. It starts in 1st, revs up all the way to about 2500 RPMs then falls out of gear entirely. That lasts about 5 seconds, and then it lurches into 2nd. Thanks for the video.

Any update on this? Noticed the Grand Prix I just bought had a couple of hard shifts. Its got 127,000 miles on it, and I plan to drop and change the fluid, filter, and add lucas stop slip to it. If this checks out and I can get to it from taking the trans pan off, then I'll do it.

You probably have a bad solenoid, I’d just drop the engine cradle and take the side cover off and you’ll have access to everything

@@chasedavis2358 hey I doubt you will see this and reply but I have a 2002 Monte Carlo and I think I have a bad 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids. Can I replace them without removing the whole trans? I’m gonna do what I have to do, I wanted to get that extra 4th gear clutch plate but a rebuild is more than I’d like to do right now Atleast.

It seems like youve encountered a new problem with the downshift bang into 1st .? Do you regrett putting in the shift kit ? And / or were you able to fix it . How is it running now ? ..Im only asking all this because i have 4t65e oldsmobile intrigue and im on fence w installing this kit if its gonna produce more problems or any problem s for that matter

It only does it with wot throttle, and low speed in 2nd gear, other wise I like it
