Would it be easier to attach the downpipe to the housing before manifold install as well or is there not enough room to wiggle the downpipe into place and then the manifold on?

For a nearly stock truck a 467 is hella hard to beat. If you have the fuel to spool it a 472 is a good choice.

I have been told by two trusted diesel mechanics that running uncovered air filters is not got for your engine. But all of these 2nd gen swap kits all come with uncovered air filters

As long as the filters are kept clean and no debris is getting sucked in the turbo everything is fine

LOL So hang on, it’s bad to have an air filter exposed to the air? Man, that just sounds dumb. Here’s what they meant, if they were anything more than shade tree mechanics, they disclose the negative effect of an “open intake” is it will suck up hot air from under the hood. Hot air is less dense and will make less horsepower, however, it will get marginally better fuel economy. There nothing wrong with running an exposed filter. Certified Deere power tech and emissions, Cummins 5.9 & 6.7 ISB/QSB and Navistar 7.3, 6.0 and 6.4. -Dealership tech for 4 years and then spent the last 11 in the field for a Large Deere dealer.

That’s not exactly what there meaning but yes the filters that come with the 2g swaps are much thinner filters than oem and can suck up dirt easer when they get dirty

I am getting my 2018 Deleted 2 weeks from now. Getting custom Tuning also. Gonna use that for a while then i am going 2nd gen swap. I was just wondering about the Chargers. I was told s464 would work very well but i watch this video and you say the 364 would work good also. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Couldn’t you put it in tow haul for the trans to spool up the turbo?

If you turn the tow and haul on it will keep the RPMs up which will help spool the charger !

Red Poole in our experience the 464 will be your superior turbo if towing heavy often! The 364 lights as a factory turbo will but won’t take the abuse a 4 series will. Make sure you do TCM Tuning and you will enjoy your drive ability!

Thats why i miss my 2014 6speed. Lol. Dual disk clutch and go. Lol. I was just ready for an automatic. I will definitely get in touch with yall when i am ready to further my Mods.
