Just a tip on this faded plastic use a heat gun. As it gets hot the surface of it melts a little and as good as new. I'd still take it off tho. No point in heating the paint that hot. Thanks for the video. I wasn't sure if it was going to be as easy as that nut.

Mine was a car wash accident! The threads were somewhat stripped it took 2 vice grips to get the nut off without the plastic mount which broke off in the car wash! How it got stripped is anybody’s guess.If you go to the car wash and they ask you if you want your antenna removed say yes learn from my stupidity.
