For everyone asking, I purchased this unit from - www.phoenixautomotiveinc.com - but I HIGHLY recommend NOT buying the unit from them. I was hung up on multiple times, promised call backs that never happened, I was mislead for 60+ days, and it took this company 63 days to ship my order and they told me from Day 1 that the radio was in stock and ready to ship and they maintained this position throughout my exhausting 63 days of trying to figure out why they weren’t shipping the radio. A quick google search yielded a ton of other Phoenix customers who waited 45-70+ days just for their radio to ship as well. It seems to be a common theme with Phoenix to not ship your order for 45-70 days and in a few cases 90 days. That’s not delivery dates, that’s amount of time it took for them to ship it/shipping label created. So stay away from Phoenix.

@@CWWJR lmao don’t tell me where or what I bought. I spoke directly to the employees at Phoenix and they DO NOT MANUFACTURE THESE RADIOS THEMSELVES! Phoenix Automotive takes your order, and then they purchase the radio from a separate company, and dropship it to you. This is what I was told by them, because it took over 60 days to get my radio, they explained that they placed the order and it was out of their hands how long it took the other company to ship the order. So there is NO Phoenix Automotive radio, they are a reseller of other companies radios.

Just make sure when you buy one that it comes with the new custom radio bezel, otherwise you will have to cut up as customize your stock radio bezel plastics. Other then that, it’s a direct bolt in and plug in. No hardwiring of any kind and no drilling or cutting (if you get one with a new bezel).

Phoenix was ALSO delaying my order BIG TIME! Hell, they quit responding via email for 1 week, had different stories, etc. Eventually, with me leaving negative reviews online and spamming them with emails inquiring about the order, they finally shipped the order yesterday. FedEx international priority. The problem is the manufacturer in China. It’s been 3 weeks sense I placed my order, but it would’ve been 2+ more weeks if I didn’t have them get their shxt together. Mine’s Android 10 and 4gb for ram 1500. Also, the tow/haul mode is relocated to the bottom now so that there’s not so much stress on the wires going up top. And the tow/haul mode goes at very bottom where the “ram” plastic emblem’s located

Lmao thanks bud. I learned a lot about FCPX in a short amount of time. Took me maybe 8 hours to do that intro but now I could do it in 1hr or so. I will probably update it in a couple weeks with more variety to the footage in it since when I made it I only had 1 video filmed.

Yea it’s an amazing unit but please whatever you do, DO NOT order it from the company I ordered from, Phoenix Automotive. I am making a video all about my extremely negative experience with this company and it will be in my channel in a day or two. They are the worst company I’ve ever dealt with, ever, and it’s not even close. I was hung up on multiple times, it took 60 days for them to ship my order and it was not sold out or back ordered or I would have understood. It was just then lieing and not shipping it out. I was led on and lied to for weeks, and they didn’t ship my radio until I filed a report with the Better Business Bureau. Try any of the other 4-5 company’s that sell this same unit. But stay away from Phoenix.

Im going to go into what happened with them in my video, and a ton of other Ram owners from RamForum.com had the same experience as me so i know its not a rare instance and its just how to operate. And no they do NOT make this radio. When you order from them, they then place an order for the unit from the real manufacturer and that was the issue with my order. It took 68 days for them to ship my order and it was nothing special no custom anything. They kept telling me that the order was "at the warehouse" and would ship soon. I was told that for over 2 months, lied too, hung up on, promised call backs that never came multiple times, i was told by an employee on the phone that "we do not have supervisors" when i asked to speak to one. It was a serious nightmare. Id wait to order until my video comes out, i will have alternatives to order from aswell as a review of the unit itself aswell as Phoenix Automotive.

The link to where i bought it is in the video description but i highly recommend that you DO NOT buy from the same company i did. They were a literal nightmare. I am making a video that will be explaining the horror story of ordering this radio and waiting 60 days to get it when it was in stock, it didnt ship for 54 days and then only took 6 days to get here. I was hung up on multiple times, told there was "no supervisor", was promised multiple times they would call me back and never got any calls, i was told the same bullshit excuses every single day. I almost canceled my order because at a certain point (50+ days since i ordered) i felt i was just going to lose my money and never get the radio, but it eventually showed up. Keep an eye out for that video.

I just replaced the radio in my '12 RAM with a Kenwood, a cheaper radio... definitely well worth the money getting the aftermarket brakets and harnesses. What i did motice though, is in your vid, you connected what i thought was the satellite antenna to your am/fm antenna. Am i right? The satellite plug was the yellow, the radio was white.

Nice video man. I have a question, it may happen to you or may not, i install this unit on my 09 ram, all is good but when i put reverse whatever im listening to cuts of untill i put in drive, you know how can i fix that?

This is a built in feature, this is meant to happen so that when you are reversing, you can focus on the reverse camera and listen for things or people in your way. My honda civic that came with a built in reverse cam from the factory does the same exact thing, it lowers the volume by like 80% until i shift back out of reverse. Its a safety feature.

I only reason i went through Phoenix was because of warranty and someone to call if something went wrong, but in the end, Phoenix was worse to deal with then a random Aliexpress seller. I have been extremely busy but i have a video written all about Phoenix and my experience with them, screenshots and all, but i havnt had time to record and edit it. Hopefully i can get it done soon.

Yes there is an included adapter for the stock oem backup camera. I used the hook up to hook up an aftermarket camera. In my video I point out the backup camera wires.

Yes, absolutely. I actually have a Kenwood amp and 2 pairs of Kicker CS2’s that I will be putting into my truck in the upcoming week or two (will be a video on it) and they easily hook up to the connections on the back. If you watch the video you will see all the RCA connections and wiring on the back.

Google "Phoenix Automotive" and look on their website. I would highly suggest you find a different seller as Phoenix is one of the worst companies ive ever dealt with in my life. So many problems, terrible terrible business. They are resellers so if they have a version for the 06 ram on their site, youll be able to find it for sale elsewhere.

Update video will be up by the end of next week(Thursday-Friday). I am currently finishing up the outline and storyboard for the video and I will begin filming for it tomorrow. I’m still new to YT so this will be my first structured video where I did not just jump into filming with no plans. This is a joke I have the Linkswell radio and it had none of this BS like this one all I had to do is remove the old radio and put in the linkswell, I had my radio within two days after I ordered it and it took me 30 minutes to take out and put in my new radio plus the linkswell has many more features than this one only real difference is my is only 10.4 inches but it looks way better than this thing does. Also the linkswell has directions on all wiring so there is no guess work.

You clearly dont know about Dodge Rams, especially this generation (4th Gen). The radio bezel trim that goes around the radio is no longer made by Ram or Mopar (the bezel for the floor console model). These bezels sell for $300-$500 alone on ebay, so the fact that not only do you get a massive 12.1" android touch screen massive screen, you get a brand new radio bezel for the floor console model. And I paid nowhere near $850, mine was $664 shipped. I sold my old floor console radio bezel on ebay for $395 so i paid around $275 for the radio in the end.
