4th of July in small town America is the best, and Victor, Idaho didn't disappoint.
I'm excited to announce that Ali and I are riding across the USA! We're riding Trek's new gravel bikes, the Checkpoint, and the goal is to take the road less traveled in search of great people and inspiring stories. Besides profiling the wonderful people along the way, we'll be asking everyone for LOVE advice. Our route will take us from Oregon to New York and WE WANT YOU to help out. If you have any ideas of places to visit, friends to meet, or burritos to eat, find us on social media and point us in the right direction.

Great video!! Loving your pride of the USA and the world, too. Just an idea: maybe show a close-up of your paper map at the beginning, with a line showing us your start, and then the distance you covered in this vid. ✨🤗✨. Also, missing your interviews on love advice!!! Stay safe and soak it all in !!!!

Good on you Ryan! People used to reach out a hand to help, no mater what. Today it seems like they have a club in that hand because of unjust fears. Everyone wants the same things, they just can’t get it in the same ways. These videos are really focusing on the goodness in people. Thank you for doing them.

Love Driggs! Great stuff again. Be the face that you want people to see. Affect the world immediately around you. Living outside the country as you have, changes your perspective. You don't need to defend the fact that you are an accepting person willing to love those around you, whomever they may be. That's what America was founded on. Rock on you two. Positive perspectives are needed right now! Ride safe

I am enjoying watching your tour across the country. The Victor 4th of July and the Motorcycle Rodeo are 2 favorites - most people will never experience anything like either of these events. I have done multiple day self-supported trips and there were days when the tears just wouldn't stay inside - so proud of Ali and staying upbeat on those tough days. Stay safe and keep posting these incredible videos. Congrats on finding love to both of you!!!!

Back on the night of July 14 into the morning of July 15, 2018 I camped in a little roadside campground near Ashton Idaho and did some bike riding myself. I did not ride my bike to Idaho but drove my van there with my bike in it. I had the same experience about seeing the Grand Tetons off in the distance. The flat farmland grid roads were great for bicycle riding.

Nice speech at the end of the video! I stumbled upon your channel through the cycling europe podcast and I am kind of binge watching your videos since then. As a european, I think you are absolutly right on your role as some sort of ambassador of the united states and I must say that you really changed and are still changing my view on the people of the United States. As you said, it's completely different than the polarizing stuff being shown in the news.

So I simply cook wild rice takes a half hour but insane how much just rice & beans makes a difference.. And cheese of course.. Num num num.. I look at your cold bean slop sometimes and I want to slap that burrito right out your hand Ryan.. Lol but great video as always 👍👌👍😀

" I am a global citizen " that is exactly what we all are , there is no division , no race , no colour prejudice and definitely no difference between any of us . the government tries to make us think we have all these and deliberately tried to turn colour , creed and wealth into a division tool , rich /poor , black / white , northern / southern , eastern / western its all nonsense . we are one being and one with nature thats it. we dont naturally hate that takes huge amounts of negative energy that will cause dis- ease . we live we love we nurture and then we flourish and bloom . PEACE TO ALL AS ONE ! happy peddling and see the world as it outta be .

When riding in front, all the way down in the drops near the bar ends is good for riding in wind. You can have relaxed fingers down there. It's more stable and aero than the hoods. The fingers aren't on the brake levers down there, so the ones drafting can't use that position.

Great video. I love how context can add so much to your understanding of how awesome America is. I didn't realize how much I love America until I lived in Germany. Also, I think every American should do some sort of public service. So often you hear about the so called "ugly American". We should all try harder to represent America in a more positive light.

Have you guys given names to your bikes? My bike's name is Yukiinu the 5th. In Japanese it means "snowdog". I am not Asian, but I enjoy everything about Japan, and I love dogs. I consider my bike to be a friend (yukiinu and I help each other to get over mountains and fight headwinds) so there is no better name than yukiinu. The 5th because ever since the first yukiinu bike, I have transferred a simple plastic ring, that I like to think contains yukiinus spirit, from bike to bike. People name boats and planes, so why not bikes. And that is also why I use yukiinu as a user name.

Respect for Alie. How you can participate in celebrating Land Theft & Genocide Day in Teton County., Idaho, which voted 59.2% for Drumpf, and an astonishingly low 27.6% for Hillary, without grabbing a mic and telling them how they're now responsible for destroying American democracy and destroying the planet, is beyond me. It must have been very frustrating.
