I am so amazed at how much talent you have! I’m home resting up after back surgery and been watching your videos all day. From the shark cage, the submarines, the Titanic, all of them! Your fine detail to each one diorama’s is impeccable. I would love to come to Greece and help you rebuild your workshop then give me a few days of watching you make something (I will be in Greece October 2022, not sure where, I’ll have to ask my wife!). Thank you so much for sharing your passion with all of us viewers.

Thank you very much Mike. I hope your back is better and you will get well soon. The part of my workshop that was completely burned is still being repaired but I estimate that it will be finished next month or by mid January. Until then I can only work on my smaller workshop ( on my kitchen table 😄) . I wish you will be able to come to Greece. October is such a great month to be in Greece. Still warm but not so crowded like August.

I caught that, too. It looks like the fore topmast staysail... and yes, the clew (the part where the sheets, or controlling lines, attach) should rest higher than the tack (the part where the bottom corner of the staysail anchors to the stay). Basically, he flipped it... but that's an entirely forgivable mistake when working at such a small scale. Easy to overlook.

Beautiful work. My only input if you decide to do fighting sail in the future is to rig the sails in "fighting trim" where the lower mainsails on the masts are hauled up (not used). 99% of sailing ships trimmed their sails before entering combat. The exceptions being an opponent trying to flee, but then they wouldn't be so close broadside to each other.

As an old square-rig tall ship sailor, I greatly appreciate the attempt to make better rigging than what must have come with the model. Although I wondered about the inclusion of a dolphin striker on the pirate ship. That ship has a very pronounced beakhead, and it would have been very rare to see both a beakhead like that *and* a dolphin striker together. They are from different eras of ship design; the large beakhead fell out of favor (and necessity) by the end of the 18th century, and the dolphin striker wasn't in widespread use until the early-to-mid 19th century. If you *did* see them together, it would almost certainly be on a ship from the 1790-1820 window... and the "Black Swan" looks clearly to be a late 17th or early 18th century design. But of course, I'm picking at small details. The diorama is still beautiful and compelling.
