Hello Dear Friends and welcome back,
For this project I have created a diorama inside a small chest showing a standed pirate ship on a remote exotic island.
In order to create this diorama I have first converted the chest into a lamp by making the necessary adjustments
and by installing the appropriate electrical wiring/LED lamp.
I wanted to create an exotic scenery like the ones we see in the movie "Pirates of Caribbean" with Johnny Depp
as Captain Jack Sparrow.
So I have used polymer clay to create the tropical beach and the rocks and
made the palm trees by using thin wire and PA glue.
Then I have created the sea by uisng epoxy resin and also created a waterfall with UV resin.
For the sea waves I have used clear and white silicone.
Finally I have used the zvezda plastic model sailing ship "Black Swan" at 1/350 scale.
The ship and the pirate chest was painted with acrylic colors.
The chest diorama is illuminated by an LED light which operates with 3 AAA batteries.

That is amazing, I would love to see an alternate version where the ship is listing and deralict having been scuppered and abandoned, with an open hull and broken masts.- and perhaps the light from the lid as an orange sunset glow casting shadows over the wreck.

I suggest watching and admiring , anyone wanting to reproduce these, better have major skills and a huge bank account.i took on a task of making one of his smaller projects. And nothing about these resin projects are easy. He may be the most helpful person on youtube imo. Willing to help people he has never met. For that i support and adore his work 100%. .

Crikey.. again I am in awe with this amazing piece.. love how you use many items and a chest for a pirate ship inside that there is just amazing and have no words .. love it and your technique on the water and waves is just wow. love it, I used to have so many large sailing ships from souvenir stores from Percé Quebec.. and mix up with the moving and lost them all. seeing this and the island you made , your ideas and the way you make them is fantastique...
