Shaun Whale from 4WD 24/7 LOVES his 4x4's and all things off-roading, but he also has a secret love for Aussie Muscle Cars. Shaun's pride n joy is a Aussie classic, SS Holden Torana.
He wouldn't trust just anyone with his Torana, so he brought into the team at Superformance for some killer upgrades to the hatchback. Shaun got the whole 9 yards from the experts, a Superformance Ultimate IFS front end, a Superformance Ford 9-inch diff package, installed a Superformance chassis strengthening kit, Wilwood brakes all round, underbody Stone guard and some paint work. He got a 355 Stroker engine and a new Transmission again supplied by Superformance installed and much much more completed by the team.

I first met Shaun at a 4x4 show in Brisbane 6 years ago. We got to chatting about Hilux's and met for coffee that night. We went for a walk in the park, talked about wheeling, held hands and watched the sunset. Shaun is an amazing guy and I will never forget that day.

My love for the Torana is no secret. Both my parents used to tear around the town in them. Dad had the. A9X although he sold that but ended up with an slr, mum had one of them too it if might have been an lc, was canary yellow. She got down graded by dad because she kept rallying the fuck out of it with us kids in the back. Awesome childhood.

Never knew Shaun was into Aussie mucsle cars. I had a chance to buy a green and black one of these from my friends cousin about 20 year ago for about $3500, needed a bit of work but was still pretty clean overall with a 253 etc...still kicking myself for not buying that one

Gotta love a torana . It has always been my dream car and 6 months ago i found a Lh sedan with a 355 motor a t5 , 5 speed and a 9 inch diff , orange with big old school hot wires . And like yours sat for 10 years and the reason was the ice ignition was not earthed properly and never performed on all 8 . Six months of perfecting all its previous owners poor problems its finally ready for the road
