I worked on this up in Cairns... getting ya head around left hand drive was one. A boat in some serious rough waters would be a smoother ride and for a mechanic. Its your worst nightmare

Australian politicians don't like 4wd vehicles or modified vehicles of any kind actually. They do like European influenced Japanese and Chinese vehicles though. If it's ugly as shit and grey or white they love it.

The Australian market and government is pretty open to big cars and big engines, if you compare it to europe or even the states. So dont cry about it, be glad for what you have ;)

What are the import rules for something like this? Was he not able to drive on the roads? Or did he get a pass because it was a temporary import?
@4WD2477 жыл бұрын
That's correct, it was legally allowed on our roads as it was only a temporary permit.
@AdventureTouringMoto7 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Is there someplace I can look for temporary import information? I'm still a few years away from my Australia trip, but it's never to early to start planning.
Thanks for that link mate, helps heaps. I had no idea, I wondered how that worked because I plan to bring my truck from here in the states over for a good visit of your tracks someday...so yeah, good to know lol
@outlawdingo30207 жыл бұрын
That's patrol goals there. Just the engineer certs, paper work and road worthy would cost thousands to have legal in aus
@ricardo37607 жыл бұрын
This is probably TUV tested in Germany, and i think it costs a bit more than a few thousands to get this legal haha, but the vehicle worth skyrockets as well after getting TUV approved
@r.mhaych50214 жыл бұрын
When he shipped it here what do u reckon would have been the process of being able to drive it on Australian roads ? He’d definitely have to have come sort of certification if he were to get pulled over by the coppers

Everything is legal, as long as you get it approved and written into the certificate of title for the vehicle. Most vehicles here that have say anything over 38 inch tyres are usually TUV tested in Germany and approved. This is probably also TUV tested
