Payload 1,200 kg , 200kg on the roof , Front, Centre and Rear diffs , front and rear live axels . It got single 4 seats , take one out for extra space and weight, dual battery 24 volt system - These are factory specs . The Nissan GU Patrol with the standard GVM UPGRADE brings it normally to 550 kg payload . These numbers makes the vehicle look a little overloaded with all the gear + men , second spare etc. .Impressive that the vehicle makes it through all of this so well. Troop Carrier payload without GVM is 892kg.

@dtnicholls13 жыл бұрын
Weight isn't really an issue. You have to look at the pressure you're placing on the ground, you certainly do have a lot more weight but you also have a lot more tyre and area that weight is distributed over. The load any given piece of ground will support is a function of pressure rather than weight.

An alloy canopy that’s sits above the tube with a floor in it. Underneath a bank of lithium batteries to the back(cab). The crew camping gear can slide in front of it. Above that there should be heaps of room for a fridge, food and all the filming gear. Stick a which on the front and a solar panel on top and well as a full ring of lights in all direction for awesome night filming.

A bakkie as we call it in south Africa (Ute), can keep all the gear high up out the water in the tray in a canopy, plenty space for batteries, inverters, charging space on either side of the canopy, fridge can, fit nicely too, and yet still have space in the cab to sit and maybe out some basic charging place inside the cab. Put some 35s on it with a 2 inch lift no Hassel and maybe a front locker. Which dual cab is up to you haha, my 2 cents. Keep up the golf work guys

Looks like you already have a good camera car. Some more bar work and a front locker.would be great see how long the old girl will last.

Y62 supercharged. That one you guys had drag that camper trailer everywhere through the trails was beast! Pull out the third row and put all the battery systems in that space.

Dual cab chop and chassis extended 200 on 35's. Custom made canopy. Heaps of canopy space for charging and storage and then still the rear seat area setup for the "need to grab quickly" gear. Full custom roof rack for full storage use as well.
@mechenoid89233 жыл бұрын
Definitely landcruiser chopped dual cab conversion, not too long to keep those approach and departure angles happy. lift it up, 35's and a decent bash plate and some underbody protection. Solar panels and batteries are a must. front bar and rear bars with front and rear winches. Fit out the rear conversion with spares storage, recovery gear and the Camera equipment and a fridge, should probably chuck one of those little pie ovens in there for the Camera boys as well, make sure they can get a decent bite while dragging you guys out of trouble. probably need a few extra CV's in there given the recent cruisers history. I'm sure DMW would be happy to help rig that beast up.

Do a 105 or 100 Series Landcruiser Dual Cab Chop with a Full Size Canopy, Plenty of Room for 3 blokes, Camera gear and we all know Shauno loves his cruisers.
@swalehshaan15653 жыл бұрын
Do a 105 for the camera crew, seems like a wagon suits them best @4wd24/7
Chopped and extended y62 patrol with 3” lift and 35s. Twin locked, twin snorkels for more air intake and bar work all round. Chuck a turbo in it-it’ll have more than enough space for the boys and their toys and it’ll have an incredible amount of reliable power to get you where you need to be and then some. Plus plenty of space for extra petrol cause it’ll be chewing through that also ;) but it’s all apart of the fun..aye?

I see you could just get another GU coz it's kinda wide which reduces on the risk of rolling because of the too much weight on the truck while crossing the big rutts en steep hill climbs. SUGGESTION

Ford raptor, 35s, 3 inch, dual cab, canopy, massive 12v system, big tunes for maximum power. upgrade turbos and also gvm, plus your average accessories, snorkel, lights ect.

Full custom Unimog, might not fit on any of the tracks, but you'd be able to build a studio on the back of it and just film inside that. Hahaha

Camera car should be a hilux similar to kaito’s 3” lift on 35’s as you said to run the same wheel and tire combo as other cars in the convo, should put on a big canopy to carry all the gear I’m not a pro on the extra battery’s and camera equipment but the canopy should be able to be set up to perfection and overall easier to reach in times because it’s all accessible really easy, better turbo, diesel for better fuel consumption and auto because it’s easier for on tracks for better throttle control solid axle and and everything needed to lower the chances of breaking cvs, raptor coat over everything and maybe even a pressure washer hooked up so after going through big holes and whatever where you get mud and water in the cab you can just open everything up and use the pressure washer when needed

Dodge Ram 2500 HD, GVM upgrade, 3inch lift, 35 inch MTR tires, Custom Mits Tray and Canopy, Reduction gears, Front bar, sliders, Snorkel, full 3 inch stainless exhaust, twin locked, roof racks to carry swags etc
@jameslong81393 жыл бұрын
Copped 105 series 3 inch lift on 35s with a nice big canopy on the back fully decked out with all the draws and storage will give them so much more room and a better way of setting stuff up with pretty much the same 12v setup that’s in the GU. Maybe even a slim line drifta roof top tent on top of the canopy for easier set up.
