I must have a bottleneck somewhere, cause my game is actually smoother without lossless scaling. Using it causes my game to stutter and eventually freeze on a frame until I tab out. Very strange, I'll have to look into it (although running at 50-75 fps is honestly enough for me to not really need lossless scaling anyway).

it's a vram issue sometimes, you need to limit your game fps so it doesn't drain the vram that lossless will eat up although I wouldn't recommend limiting under 30 because that's when you'll feel gameplay delay

I have a 210hz monitor and what I did was put the monitor frequency to 200 and Ran Jedi Survivor cap at 50 FPS. I couldn't believe how good it was running.

Modlist looks fantastic, thanks for all the work you put into everything, you are a legend! I don't know if it's just me but I feel like the landscape textures are very flat compared to the contrasting and dense grass throughout the tundra plains. In the beginning of the video you can see very well how the ground's texture is so clearcut from the grass it looks like the grass was glued onto a bald surface. Maybe a rougher/more diverse terrain texture would look better?

A little tip from someone that hasn't used this program for that long. What helped me in some games was reducing my monitors HZ from 144 to 120. Also capping my frames 1-2 below 120 fps. Always test around for each game and see what helps.

I've been using it to run Lorerim performance at 120 fps with 60 as a base, it's pretty good even when you reach locations where my modest cpu can't deliver 60, it framegen to make it run above 60 even in whiterun and surrounding areas, and it's way way more smooth.

be warned this program wont let your weak gpu go from 30 to 60, you must already do very well on fps and this program prevents slowdowns, it cannot double your framerate if your system is not powerful enough.

The higher the base FPS, the better. You can always refund it on Steam if you don't like it.

Input latency is going to increase with every x frame injected. At x4 I would suspect it to be fairly high. I tried out x2 and x3 before refunding and the latency was pretty bad at x3 already.

What about UI ghosting? Because Lossless frame gens your entire screen it had a hard time distinguishing between static UI and the gameplay. I remember older updates the UI would have this really horrible ghosting trail.

Man, I’m stuck with my 3060ti build. I get about 40-55fps most of the time with low drops to 30 sometimes. And highs of 80 in non intensive areas. This is in nolvus redux too. I’m using the upscaler dlss balanced and I get like a 8-12fps increase but the artifacting and ghosting is super noticeable. I hope to be able to upgrade soon

Don't know what I'm doing wrong I'm using the Elysium mod pack and Lossless hasn't been working for me it sets my fps to 11 fps then is really choppy and distorted. Does anyone know a fix?

Lossless works like a charm. The only issue I'm having with my game is that I have a few stutters whenever it's trying to load new areas for example if i walk for 2 minutes in a direction it stutters to load the area I m facing or so I think . (most likely because my Skyrim is installed in a not so good HDD. And I was wondering if I was to buy a new SSD, Could I transfer over my Skyrim + all the mods without them somehow breaking? (I m using MO2.) ).

If the drive letters are the same there's no difference. If you don't change the drive letters, you'll have to change directory locations for Skyrim and such.

Pressing end or shift+home (depending on the enb) will bring up the menu. You can cap FPS on the top left where it says "fps limiter". Most are capped at 60 or 61 by default.

Most likely vram or system memory related. Monitor that with msi afterburner’s built in benchmark monitoring tool and see if ur either thing is maxing out. If so, it’s a system bottleneck

@@El_Deen 100ms. Slightly noticeable in fast paced games. This goes for any 30 fps multiplier. 30x2, 30x3 etc. Not noticeable that much in controller. Either way it will make you a worse player. 40 fps is less noticeable with mouse, still there but you get used to it easier.

the only downside is the latency. I've tried playing Fallout 4 with Lossless Scaling most of the times, and the latency is kinda unnoticeable. But when I tried it on GTA V, the latency is quite noticeable where driving a car is very difficult

works! best thing to do is limit framerate of skyrim to 60 via enb. then use lossless scaling to multiply frames 2x 3x or 4x. try to stay below or match your monitors max refresh rate with target framerate. example. your monitor is 240hz. limit skyrim to 60fps and set LLS to 2x. u will get 120fps, which matches refresh rate by 1/2 and should be smooth af. frome there u can also try 3x or 4x so ull get 180fps or 240fps. if u hit max refreshrate exactly, remember to enable vsync to avoid tearing because gsync / freesync is not enabled on max refreshrate.

​@@truja97 hmm well. normaly u try to hit max refreshrate. so your suggestion with using 36 and x4 is good. the idea with 72 can be dropped, since u dont get 72 consitently. in reality u can play around with base frame limit and LLS factor however u want. in some cases this will induce stutter. so trying with factors of 60, 30, 120 works usually best. one of my best bets would be to try 40 fps limit and 3x factor in LLS for a nice 120 fps.

does your monitor have any kind of VRR? if not. u need to set the monitors refresh rate to 120 hz if u want to hit just 120 fps. else it would get choppy. because either vsync drops frames or if no vsync u would get tearing.

From my experience LS = faster PureDark's FSR 3 = smoother as in image quality. I get some artifacts with LS but never had any trouble with PD's FSR.

I stopped playing skyrim because it's so cpu limited that no matter what I did I still couldn't get it past 40 FPS with a 12600k and a 3070(Very heavily modded). Since lossless scaling came out I haven't stopped playing it, stopped Cyberpunk Phantom Liberty, Elden Ring and BGS3, Nothing can hold a candle against my favorite game with good frame rate. 🥲finally after 13 years.... High frame rates are achievable for modded Skyrim, let me enjoy this.
