4x Fujitec Main Elevators @ Four Points Sheikh Zayed Road****, Jumeirah, Dubai, UAE

This next-door neighbor of DXB Tower was originally planned as a residential building, but was later modified to house both hotel rooms managed by then-Starwood (hence the Four Points branding) on the lower floors in addition to apartments on the upper floors. At some point, plans to put the residential units on sale were abandoned, making this an all-hotel tower. Remainders of this building once having been earmarked for residential use is still evident, however, with every room coming with glass balconies and an unusually high percentage of multi-bedroom suites - all of them with full kitchens - for a Four Points hotel, which were once supposed to be apartments for sale.
The building had 45 above-ground floors and one basement. The ground floor had an all-day restaurant called Pascal Tepper alongside the main reception. On the mezzanine level were two restaurants: an Indian restaurant called Purani Dilli and an American-style sports pub named Charlie's. The same floor had another vacant space for a third restaurant, which had been occupied by a pizzeria called Luigi's until recently. The first floor had banquet rooms alongside a cafe, aptly named Coffetree. Rooms were located on floors 2 to 40, with the upper floors devoted to the aforementioned residential-style suites. The 41st floor had the hotel's spa and gymnasium, as well as an outdoor pool deck overlooking Burj Khalifa and the nearby skyscrapers. The 42nd floor had mechanical equipment and hence skipped by the passenger elevators, while a sky bar was located on the top 43rd floor. The basement had back-of-house areas and offices. Parking was provided within a separate 8-floor garage at the back of the building.
The building had four passenger elevators and only one service elevator, which seemed insufficient considering its room count of 384-one downside of the building not having been purpose-built as a hotel unlike the Rose Rayhaan on the other side of the highway. All of those had been supplied by Fujitec, which lacks a direct presence in the UAE and instead operates via a local distributor called Al Yousuf Elevators & Escalators. This video features the bank of four passenger elevators, which served all above-ground floors except the mechanical floor 42. These had older gray square buttons and vertical floor indicators, which were basically variants of Fujitec's original "computer control" fixtures, giving them an old-fashioned vibe; considering these had been installed in the mid-2000s, however, these would have been among the last to feature such fixtures. The use of brown marble and black-and-white ceramic tiles on the floors further added to the vintage flair, though the wallpapers with pictures of Dubai's futuristic skyscrapers provided a sharp contrast. Upon arriving on a floor, the signature two-tone chime was played, but with no voice announcements. The ride quality was very smooth, though the speed was on the slow side for the amount of floors these served.

For this building, I don't remember if that was the case. Maybe I could've just thought these were too slow and probably wanted to save time...
