4x4 400EX WALKS ON WATER 600EX! Awesome Skimming! CBR600RR Engine on ATV! Hydroplaning Quad!!!

Fully Custom 400ex, with a CBR600RR engine, converted to 4x4 with Polaris Scrambler chain drive. Skimming across water that is anywhere from 2-4 feet deep... if you doubt the water depth, look at the guy standing beside where I went in the first video... it's up to his waist! Sorry for the Mud on the Helmet camera lens... stuff like that happens when you are going across the top of muddy water at 40 mph!! @MegaEhughes I custom made the arms from some old 300 honda 4x4 lower a arms, the uppers are stock Can am 800 outlander a arms, I'd highly recommend trying to adapt some that will work, they'll most likely be stronger and lighter than the ones you can build!

that is exactly what I was thinking. Get on of those rock guard skid plates that is solid on the bottom and widen it a little to act as a smooth surface to skim on the water if you start to sink.

Cobra this bike isn't stupid at all excluding the fact that thousands we put in to it but this quad is definitely capable of tearing it up on both sand and dirt

@BravoII I totally agree, I need something with a good width to make sure the front doesn't dip down on me if I don't have enough speed. I've seen it tried on another atv with regular smooth ribbed fronts with a catastrophic result.. (nose dive and flying over the front) so I'm a little skittish as to what's on the front, but i've been looking for a less aggressive front to try!

Haha, I was going to put that as the title but it wasn't enough room.. thank you for your keen observation that I was slowly rolling out of the throttle as I approached the bank on the other side. You are correct on the paddle pushing the vehicle along before it has time to sink..... that's the point Einstein... anybody can get enough speed with a Bayou 220 to hydroplane across some water... but I am able to sustain it... check out my latest testing video if you doubt me...
