I've found mine perfect for my toyota van. In fact even with its small size, i have to turn it off every half hour or so, then back on again when the temp lowers inside the van. It has no fan in it so i put a fan over the top of it to circulate the heat and that makes a huge difference. If you dont use a fan with it, all the heat goes to the ceiling area of your space. For a small area like a van i find this much more useful than a buddy heater that is and ackward shape and puts out too much heat. Cheers.

If you need more heat for the back of your ambulance use a Mr. Heater 4,000 - 9,000 BTU Liquid Propane Portable Buddy Heater, F232010 which also has a carbon monoxide detector and many people use it safely indoors.

Help....... I'm lost here. I just received this but I need the exact steps on how to start it. I push in the knob then turn it to the left to the low setting but all I get is butane smell. Can someone please tell how to start this heater? Thank you!
@CrazyUncleTim Жыл бұрын
There should be a click which ignites the gas.
@mikehoward8201Ай бұрын
Push in knob and turn all the way until it clicks, which is the igniter firing the butane, then turn down, first to Hi and then to Low when it is hot!

I have one. Do you know what the button you push with your finger is for? It's inside the unit..very frustrating that it's all in Korean lol
@CAMPC2C2 жыл бұрын
Hi Anne, I looked inside mine and could not find a button. The only thing mine has is the knob on the side you push and turn to ignite the butane and control the heat.

@@CAMPC2C there is a pic of it on the info sheet with a finger pressing it
@CAMPC2C2 жыл бұрын
@@annekurzawski862 I see it, the screw with a spring. I had to use Google translate to understand what it is for. If the gas pressure gets too high it will shut off. You then remove the butane bottle and press the button/screw to relieve the pressure and reset it. I've never had to use it.

Thanks for sharing this video. Did you come up with condensation issues with this butane heater? Since it puts out a lot of heat I suppose you do not have to use it for too long for 3 season use, maybe 15 to 20 minutes would work. In that period of time, would there be condensation buildup you think?
@CAMPC2C2 жыл бұрын
I have not had any issues with condensation, but I only use it for short amounts of time and have a vent open. It's pretty dry here as well. When possible I use an electric heater.

@@CAMPC2C Thank you very much for your reply. It really clarifies things for me. When you say: "I use an electric heater when possible" and you live in a dry climate, this pretty much says it all. I will avoid this butane heater as it will not work for me. Thanks and have a good one.

@@marlenemartel9649 smart as they do come poorly packaged with crushed or cracked ceramic piece. Glad the op has a use for his - and did not come w a broken plate

First one came with a crushed ceramic plate. The second also came poorly packaged with cracked plate and non-functioning piezo lighter. Waste of $, but the concept is nice

Where do you get butane gas cannisters ???
@CAMPC2C2 жыл бұрын
I've found them at some Ace Hardware stores and camping/outdoor stores, but I've gotten the best deals buying bulk (a few dozen) on Amazon.

Doesn't Butane "gel up" at low temps?
@mulehop172 жыл бұрын
yeah, it can. much more easily than propane.......but burns cleaner imo

these things have issues that can cause fire.Got one at Christmas and the ceramic must have a fault or a crack and threw a fame straight out an almost set my van on fire.They come from Korea badly packaged and the company that sell them has no interest in replacing or fixing the problem!Save your money and buy a candle
