Condensation can be an issue. So, I keep damp rid in my van. Be sure to ventilate and turn on a small fan for air circulation.

I found mine new and on sale on eBay by the manufacturer for less than $70 and free shipping! Took less than two weeks to arrive! I think they must have them in a storage facility in California!

I really like mine! Glad you got a good deal on yours.

I saw another video where they said you could also cook on it, are there any pictures of that on the instructions?
@detouringwithdonna10 ай бұрын
The instructions aren't in English, however there is specifically a sketch of the heater with a pan sitting on top and and X over the sketch indicating that it should not be used for cooking.

A hack that works well to protect areas where you don’t want heat going is using a fire proof mat.

I wonder how long one can of butane will last on low/med/high. Have you found out for yourself?
@detouringwithdonna Жыл бұрын
I ran through an entire can one day, running it on low for about 3 or 4 hours. Other times, I only used it for an hour or so, in low and used about a third of a can each time.

I have read on high, you should get 3 hours, on low 4-5 hours. I would not run it over nite, but use it for a half hour to heat up where I am sleeping, get in a properly rated sleeping bag, and turn off. Then in the morning, turn it on for 15 minutes before I get up and get dressed. That way one canister should last several of those cycles!

I had that thing going in my home made RV and around 3AM THAT canister blew off the side like a cannon and scared me and my dog half to death - I flew across the van and went into the styrofoam wall board and made a good dent. Im afraid of that thing now

I'm sorry to hear that!

When I was in Quartzite, I had issues with my butane working to light my stove. Later I was told butane does not work under very cold temperatures. I think the temp was in the mid 30s. Is there an adapter to switch over to propane? Thanks for the review!

Great tip! I didn't have an issue with my butane last year but it's supposed to be colder this year so that may change.

When you turn the suit off at bedtime, remove the canister, place the cap back on and place in your sleeping bag. Your body heat will keep it warm enough to use in the morning!
