4X4 ATV Race | Seven Springs, PA | 2022 AWRCS | Canam Renegade 1000 XXC

I made it out to Seven Springs, PA for the 3rd round (Mayhem On The Mountain) of the
American Woods Championship Series (AWRCS) on May 28, 2022.
Seven Springs Ski Resort is home to massive hills and a crowd pleasing hillclimb.
My Quad: 2021 Can-Am Renegade 1000R XXC
Modifications: Cecco Steering Stem Brace, Flexx Handlebars. Everything else? STOCK.

Love the voice over. I used to race the gncc circuit in the late 2000’s. Been thinking about getting a can-am 1000 and getting my fat ass racing again. I was there doing photography of all the classes. I took holeshots of everyone. I am a professional photographer for a living and a go to the races and watch my nephew race. But I always take a shit ton of photos and pick out a few and post them on the AWRCS group. If you see any by Louie that’s me. Time to buy another yfz450r and try these races out I sold my quad it was done up for flat track racing took that setup off went trail riding and hill climbing I sold it and now I’m bored hahaha i nervous on doing these i watched videos of unexpected jumps into creeks and stuff im 37yrs old dont want to kill my self hahaha

Not sure. Everything’s a toss up right now. I do have some nice upgrades sitting in the garage. Uninstalled: tires, bumpers, but not exactly sure which race i’ll be joining next.

Man I live in sault mi super far north yooper bud hahahaha and I got a 2008 renegade 800 I'm building to do this type of stuff. I love the technical riding man even without competition just by myself I like testing my capability.

What a great video. I was seriously talking to my wife, about selling my razor and going to a renegade 1000. But she had bought a couple of accessories for me so I better keep it. She prefers her outlander 650 over riding with me so that had a bit to do with that. I still have an old raptor 660 I should ride more often. You definitely gave me the itch to race but I don't know of any races even remotely close to me I still think I'm fast even though I'm in my 50s. (probably not as fast as I remember being) I'm in far northern California and I'm not aware of any of that type of racing in the west. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for the feedback. They often have UTV races at these same events so consider that too. Yes. 4x4 atv race are not easy to find. GNCC is even centered to the east. You are 50 but youre not 60. Do what you can now id say. Thank you for sharing.

The dirt commanders are a amazing tire, i hated the stocks! I had to plug them every ride. Put on the dirt commanders, not a SINGLE issues. Also ride in PA over some sketchy rocks often. Sold my 850, ordered a renegade 1000xxc. Stay safe

Those tires should turn better than that. Tire Pressure being to high has alot to do with not gripping in turns or turning wide in general. 8 pounds is the reason you couldnt turn well. You need to be 7 or lower. You will be amazed that small of a difference will do. Also the log crossing accident happened caz it seemed like you were sitting. If you were standing i dont think it would of bucked you like a bull. But you did hit it just a little to fast, go up to it kinda slow then blip the throttle to go over it. I got a renegade 1000 xxc 22, i did some videos of mine. Id enjoy to try and race to but i dont wana beat my quad up, i got it for fun. Id rather have a 2nd quad just for racing that i dont mind beating. But i know i could do good and compete for high positions caz of my riding experience

So sorry for the late response! You need to 1st contact AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) and become a member in order to get your race number. Then just show up on race day of GNCC & register. This info is based on me talking to a GNCC representative 1 year ago, not actually racing gncc myself. So contact AMA & GNCC by phone for more info.
