I've been wanting to tackle this route for years now, do all the major obstacles have escape routes? I drive a soft roader without low range, but decent tyres. How far did the range rover make it?
@OffTheBeatenTrackSA4 жыл бұрын
Hey man - yeah so all the major obstacles do have escape routes but there’s only 2 major ones - there’s one called red hill , I haven’t done it yet my white pajero just looked too pretty that day to try it 😂 - the Range Rover made it all the way !!!! I think On this track you’d just need good tires (like you have) and the right tire pressure (about 1.4 bar) let me know when you went and how you found it !

Buks Saayman no stress man - for me personally , Honingklip is the best track in the western cape , you’re gonna love it , especially the views while you’re 4x4ing ! Enjoy man and be safe

Nice vid but damn oaks... Please dont recover like this... Don't use the tow ball ffs Don't use a pull strap and do a run up - you #$% up both your cars Once the person is out of the hole, don't speed up, just continue slowly UNDER CONTROL.

Fully agree !! That footage was sent to me , we weren’t part of that recovery 🙏🏽

Nice drive guys, but PLEASE do not recover a vehicle, especially a snatch recovery, by using the towball of a vehicle. Been far too many deadly accidents this way. Please just check the many videos here on KZbin wrt this. It may just save someones life.

I was part of the first recovery and if you look at the first recovery with the blue Land Rover you note that we used a Snatch rope on proper recovery points, I got sent the footage of the second recovery , and was totally shocked when I saw them using a. Normal rope on a tow ball !!

It was me. If you have no recovery point to attach except a tow bar and you stuck in water then you use wat you have. You can't see the front of the Ford and back of the FJ but we used proper shackles between them. Thanks for the comment😁
