My Kodiak 700 SE has been having this issue for the last 3-4 years. I've learned to live with it but it always concerned me that something was going to break with the actuator at some point and then I'd be dealing with a major transmission issue. I followed the instructions as described and VOILA, problem solved! Thanks for a great video!

So far its bin working awesome no problems since I cleaned and reapplied the grease, did have some small spots of corrosion that I sanded off! Thanks and keep up the content

Hey man ! that's awesome, glad the video could help. I've done my switch twice but this is a good reminder I should do it again before something happens. I think it's a common issue... .the dealer will try and sell you the new switch for like $200 or something.... crazy the world we live in.... Hey Jeff !! man thats exactly why I made this video, they do put a LITTLE assembly grease in the switch but nowhere near enough, thats so awesome to hear. if you have some time you should really check all your electrical connections (most will be by your battery) and add grease to all the connectors. also don't forget your winch connectors (mine are right behind the winch) so they are kind of low and get hit with a lot of water/dirt. really glad the video helped ! thanks !

Awesome shout-out buddy! Thanks a ton! Can't wait to see the sticker on your machine! This was a great educational video, even if you don't own a Yamaha, because most of those switches would be similar in function. WD40 works great for taking off glue residue left behind by stickers, etc. It works way better than Goo-Gone. Love the old electrical pouch. I still have mine & keep my tools in it. The TPBoys clip cracked me up! - HAHAHAHA!!! The 4x4 actuator on your machine sounds like Taco's Arctic Cat; beefy & manly. My Honda doesn't make a sound when I push the 4x4 button . . . sigh - lol Excellent video bud! Thanx for sharin'!

When I put my 2018 Grizzly in for the new piston and cylinder update on Aug. 10, I had them check the 4x4 switch. It was going into 4x4 while driving down the trail one day and sometimes wouldn't activate when I press it. They replaced it but I should put some dielectric grease in there for good measure. Thanks for the tip. Great video!

Thanks for the video. Other than the 4x4 switch you had any other problems? Trying to decide if I should keep my 18' or get the 19' with the new engine.
@Maritimer5 жыл бұрын
Hey man ! No, I haven't had any issues with my 18 yet, I know people have had issues with the 708 motor but they seem to be more in the year 2016. I'm not sure how familiar you are with the Grizzly but the 686cc motor in the 2019 model is actually an old Yamaha motor, they used the 686cc from 2007-2015 then in 16 switched to the 708 made by Subaru b/c the ol trust 686 wouldn't pass emission testing. Yamaha gave Subaru a 3 year contract to build them motors for the grizzly, then in 2019 they made some changes to the 686 and got it to pass emissions, so they went back to it. The 686 is a trusted proven motor but I've heard some guys with new ones saying they run hot (my guess is thats how they got them to pass the testing) so it's really up to you, Ive had good luck with mine, and my buddy has a 18 with no issues, I think part of the issue is how guys treat their machine, riding it hard, and wide open is rough on a single cylinder. Good luck ! Hope you get what's best for you.

Great ground clearance and smooth ride for trails and rough stuff. proven reliability and build quality. one of the best 4X4 with Diff lock systems out there (none of that Can Am VISCO Lock or Polaris AWD systems) these are just my opinions, some people may argue different.... but I've been riding for a while and seen all the different brands (other than like CF Moto) and I know which ones come out of the woods on their own power every time.

hahahaha oh man i've got to block and delete you now.... lol GO LEAFS !!! gonna be a tough road with Boston though. I don't watch much Ball, but I usually cheer for the Blue jays, and if not them, I usually cheer for the Sox, I've always been a Boston fan with Hockey, baseball haha No its almost like Electrical, but its Signals and communication with the railway, so its a lot of electronics along with electrical.

@@grousehunter67 Ohhhh nice !!! Yeah I think the leafs are a good team for sure, but they are still lacking in defence, I think anderson played so well all year, it made up for the weak defence and now that Anderson isn't standing on his head making saves.... it shows the weakness in defence. I'd love to see the Leafs trade Nylander (as good as he is) for a good #1 or #2 D-man. just my opinion though. Also Anderson isn't getting any younger.... I wonder how much longer he can play.

ya true I think there biggest mistake was not making Nylander sit the rest of the year @@Maritimer
