Love what you teach! However, I think you missed one point… When reversing down a hill, pull up the hand / parking / brake 1, 2 or 3 notches/clicks. That changes the brake balance of the vehicle, adding more brake power to the rear when you press the brake pedal keeping you in control of the vehicle - avoiding being a passenger of a stray car. I’ve done this several times in snow/icy conditions and it work great.

My top tip: don't wait for your mate directly behind him at the bottom of the hill. Loose rocks kicked up can role down the hill and smash a windscreen. Park up before the hill just a bit around the corner, and get out if you want to film them, just don't park up in direct firing line of the rocks.

(in a manual) if your vehicle stalls on your way up one of these hills, is it acceptable to "work the clutch" to get going/to the top. and is there a way to do so properly - not over revving, not overheating the clutch ect. Every scenario is different, if I had more hill ahead of me than behind me, I might try to reverse back down if I didn't think I could let the clutch out, wondering the rule of thumb for manuals. TLDR. Manuals off-road - How to avoid ruining your clutch & what to do in emergency (even if it could/might damage your clutch)
