Trailhawk needed to air down and use low range rock mode to crawl. This would have made a tremendous difference. Driver was very novice in ability here. Kudos to the Defender and driver, well done, drama free off roading!

great video. Does 'come across' that the Defender driver knows the TRS quite well, constant throttle, let the system work it all out, where the GC driver was quick to lift off and had little time for it to work, though it does appear to take a longer to react. Wheelbase also seemed to make a difference in the 2nd hill climb. Lots of variables but good to watch. Thanks for the video.

The LR Defender was impressive. The Grand Cherokee looked like its tires were substandard, just not biting. Both looked like they'd benefit tremendously from sway bar disconnect as neither seemed to have much articulation.

The Defender was in 4" air suspension lift when I was driving it. The articulation is minimal in this setting. That the trade off for a fantastic, taught, nimble and smooth highway ride. This video is at Rausch Creek Off-road Park in Pennsylvania. I have done the same trails as in the video, too, with my stock 2020 JGC Trailhawk ( have Mopar rock rails) and had minimal spins. It appears here that the TH driver is not as experienced in off-roading situations (especially choosing the right line for his rig) and/or does not yet know or feel comfortable with the abilities and/or systems of his Jeep, which are impressive indeed...and, of course, the tires do make a difference!

People always talk about the bad thing for lifting a tire but no one ever mentions the good thing about lifting a tire... One of the good things is that tire doesn't have to climb the obstacle half the time... Another nice effect of that is that you are decreasing rolling resistance right as you're climbing something.... As long as you don't flip over and you have good balance.... it sounds like the perfect thing to happen.... I'm sure everyone likes a decreased rolling resistance while climbing a hill...
