Once again , I’ve learned from your videos . I’ve never given the battery terminal failure a thought . I was shocked to see that, so thanks for including your problems in all of your videos , that’s what I learn from as much as your rigging setups !

That was awesome, There was a minute where I thought you weren't going to get it out, but once again you overcame the situation. Great Job!!!! I really Enjoy these videos, I feel like we as a community are better prepared for recovery....

I just used my snatch block to rescue a Challenger tractor off a hillside. Single line, tree saver around an old hemlock stump with a steel shackle, soft shackle on the loader mount and a steel shackle for my hook. Whole process took about half and hour and the guy backed his tractor down to the next switch back...awesome video Wes...

My father in law had a tracksteer stuck on the edges of a pond. Deep enough you couldn't even see the tracks. Several wreckers (including the ones used for semi trucks) failed to get it out. Eventually, they had to bring a large crane out to get it. Great videos, keep it up! Two things: 1) Larger guage battery cables can handle higher amperage without getting as hot. May be a worthwhile investment for the work you do. 2) There is a device called an "xlock" that is designed to let you pull all of your winch line out, so you're able to get that "first wrap" advantage (where the winch has the most power) Possibly another worthwhile investment for the stuff you are doing. It's funny how everyone hears "you should let the winch cool off" and things like "30 seconds on, and 30 seconds off" or whatever.. and they always think that their winch can "handle it" cuz.. they bought the best.. Never once thinking about all the systems that *support* the winch. A winch can draw more amps than your alternator can put out. so, "letting the winch cool down" allows things like.. let the battery get/stay topped off, let the cables and terminals cool, let the winch motor cool, etc etc.

Wes this is one of the toughest rescues I have seen on this channel your experience definitely showed and I was impressed. You always get the job done no matter what and find ways to adapt and deal with problems when they happen. Your videos are educational on how with one jeep you can rescue vehicles because it is all in the proper set up

This is one of my favorite channels. I live in south Florida, so there are not really any places to go off-road. Having said that, I find myself going on Rhino website and putting multiple items on the shopping cart, I just never check-out. I know the items will just sit in the garage and never be used. Great videos, I’ve learned a lot by them.

Really appreciate your honest approach to recoveries. It's good to see you trying things that seem "beyond" the capabilities of your setup, yet you successfully complete them time and time again!

Another great video!! Admire the dedication to get it out despite taking on damage. Seriously that was pushing your gear to its limit, that rear end of that skid steer was flat against the ground. Crazy how much those snatch blocks double the pulling power! Not a jeep owner so not sure if you have the space under the hood but you could run a dual battery setup and run the winch off the 2nd battery. Would double the amperage

Always the possibility of challenges presenting themselves. But you always seem to be well prepared. And as you stated, a high capacity battery is always a plus. Many folks that regularly rely on their winches for recoveries also install a high output generator/alternator. Some even install devices that allows them to set their idle/rpm’s to 2-3k, like you mentioned. A btw, a person can never have too much gear. That snatch block is a thing of beauty! Good job staying with it. Making adjustments when needed, and being patient through the process.

Good deal! keep up the hard work of helping people out. That's what the off-road portal is about. When I fried my last battery I was doing a hard recovery too. 3 winches and 2 snatch blocks made it all work out. I went with the largest Odyssey ODP-AGM24F with 840 cca. Upgraded to 4 gauge wire for the big 5 and love it.

Nice recovery! Might be helpful to explain to people counting the lines on the “moving load” helps you calculate the mechanical advantage. The first set up with 2 snatch blocks was a 2:1 and the second was 3:1 mechanical advantage but still only using 2 snatch blocks.

No bad I had to get a ford 3600 tractor unstuck one time. It was in a ditch I used my 8k winch and dinosaur of a snatch block to get it out. Was One the craziest recovery I’ve ever done. The rear end of the tractor which was in a creek/ huge ditch raised completely outta the ditch before the front started to move and the back was what was stuck on it. That recovery would of made a great video.
