The thing about the original Bronco is the VIN is stamped on the chassis in three places on the passenger side. So you can replace the body if you need to without any legal ramifications, and the new bodies are made with higher quality steel. Some companies make new chassis for them and sell them as legal replacements, when they're not. That's straight up VIN fraud. These guys are doing it right!

@grandtheftautotune77153 жыл бұрын
Actually, there were 2 engines available in 93, and the 5.0 was the smaller of the 2. Back then the 5.0 was called the 302 and the 5.8 was a 351. Being it was more than likely a higher spec, it was probably a 351. Incidentally, the white Bronco in the infamous chase wasnt his, it was Al Cowling's, a former teamate , the driver in the chase. OJ was a spokesman for Ford and Hertz from 74 to 94, and they supplied him with cars, and his white Bronco was found at his home with blood all over it and was in evidence til after the trial and then destroyed. Cowlings worshiped OJ and went out and bougnt a identical Bronco to OJ's after OJ got his Bronco. That Bronco still exists, Cowlings sold it to OJs agent right after the chase for 75k. The agent has been trying to get a million for it for awhile now. BTW, technically, the chase ended at OJs house in Brentwood, LAPD never got the Bronco stopped and were not really aggressively trying to stop it due to the fact OJ was claiming to be suicidal, although that seemed to end up a ruse to delay his arrest.

Now that the 7.3L Godzilla Crate engines are available, I can't see the point in paying the same for a Coyote that is much wider and difficult to package. Sure the Mustang Coyote makes a few more hp 460 vs 435 however you have to rev it very high and the tq isn't even close. Also the 7.3L is a cam+springs, headers and maybe an intake manifold away from roasting the 5.0's numbers across the power band, especially at lower rpms, significantly easier and cheaper to do cam and header swaps on and leaves much more room under the hood since it's within 1-2" of a 351w based engine's external measurements with a wider bore spacing, deep skirt 6 bolt main short block, Cleveland or Roush D3 levels of cylinder head flow with a state of the art modern design. In a light weight vehicle with an overdrive transmission and quality tuning the fuel economy shouldn't be much worse at all, especially driven or worked with gusto at speeds that are reasonable on public roads or on the track. I have owned 2 Coyote powered vehicles in the past and they were great however I would lean towards a 351w or 393/408/418/427 ci Windsor stroker with good aluminum heads, a 7.3L Godzilla or even a pullout 6.2L Boss if I didn't go with an LS based engine in a Ford project vehicle. The Coyote certainly was the swan song that made up for the shortcomings of the modular engine program however it's still saddled with the limitations and expense of those engines which are not as well supported by the aftermarket with affordable modifications, rebuilds and big league power.
