I am putting a 96 5.0 explorer engine in a 1968 bronco with a standard trans will it effect the wiring and the way it runs with the standard trans. what do I eliminate the trans wiring thanks Jeff

Did you have issues with the standard trans? I have a 96 5.0 explorer engine with M5R2 trans. When Im in 3rd, 4th or 5th sometimes at 35%-45% throttle the engine misfire. Sometimes this doesnt happend but I think this is associated to the standard trans.

So i dont need a stand alone controller if i use the harness out of the explorer with the 4r70W? can you give me some feedback im currently into a 97 explorer going into a 76 bronco. any feedback is appreciated. thanks!

Correct. The Explorer PCM will control the 4r70w.

Ok so i dont have to change much in my harness because im using the whole explorer powertrain. I have a complete donor. Its a 2000 5.0. Im putting that into a 94 4.0 ranger. What do i have to connect to the pcm. Or do i? Can i just have ecm and power it up and keep the ranger pcm running the body functions?

I just acquired a 1998 Explorer 4.0. Are there some tips for it or should these videos work for that harness too? Also if this engine is not as beefy as I need can I get a 5.0 and drop it in later without changes?

95 was the last year for the 5.0 in the Mustang, they went to a 4.6 in 96.

Still sharing diagrams? Putting a sn95 with WCT5 in a 97 ranger. I am using the pcm and harness from a 97 mountaineer and so I can pin out the o2 sensors and gray/black wire for transmission since it reads speedo and reverse light, pull them back since I am not using the automatic I don’t need that huge chunk of wiring?
