Didn't she say she's taking care of her parents? $720/month for 3 adults on food isn't that terrible!

Out of all the financial audits coming out I love your approach by showing the charts / debts / numbers while explaining it for us visual learners

Great video, Justine. Real talk. I agree. I took so many affordable vacations when I was in debt payoff, too. Off-the-beaten path stuff. We did a big trip after I paid off my graduate school loans and those little trips were no less fun than that big one.

You should add Sub-Totals to each section (I.e. Fixed Costs, Fun). Great for the person you are doing the budget for, but also streamlines your process of figuring out what their Emergency Fund should be.

that's a great idea!

That food budget sounds reasonable for 3 people (she said she's supporting her parents, I assume that means food too).

lol sounds like my sister who is a pharmacist. She makes six figures but has $150,000 in debt. This doesn’t stop her from flying first class for vacation and staying in 4-5 star hotels. Also she is trying to build a savings account which I find counter-productive when she should be using any excess cash to lower her debt so less interest is charged!

I would love to watch more of these videos it’s just really hard when the audio is so bad.

I’m not alone on this haha I love her and what she’s doing! I just can’t stand the audio, it makes her vocal fry and voice sharp to my ear 😅

@@jcabslovesu2 exactly! Like I want to watch this stuff. I always click on it because the thumbnails are well made. But I have to swipe away cause I just am not patient enough to watch all 15-20 minutes with that audio

I also thought I was the only one, I've watched so many videos and only can get through half. This is the first one where I could watch the whole one.

are you saying the audio is bad in this particular video or ALL review videos? I use a lavalier mic but we'll check sound quality during editing. thanks for the heads up.

@@DebtFreeMillennials aaah you responded! For my own personal experience the audio is bad in all the videos! 😭 I love your channel but can’t watch it thru. I also can’t watch them with ear phones. The words just feel sharp in my ear. I’d have to watch it without earphones and low volume. But if I’m at work I just skip to the excel sheet and look at the numbers 😭🙏🏽 I’m so sorry! I really appreciate your reply and love what you do! 💕

She also needs to contribute more to retirement, before setting up a 'vacation fund.'

it's still showing up on my end. did you confirm your email?

@@DebtFreeMillennials When I went to the website for the toolkit, I added my name and email, clicked Access Toolkit (to do the budget using your tracker to then send in for the budget review), it looked like something was going to show but immediately went to this message: "AWW MAN! YOU MISSED OUT. Unfortunately, this offer has expired. Don’t worry, there’s plenty of great resources back over on the site."

It appears right now that you don't have a vacation fund set up. I don't see money going towards it right now and I don't see an amount being allocated towards it. Justine's suggestion of $100 per month is a great idea. Set up a HYSA with Marcus by Goldman Sachs and label it "Alaska". I suggest Marcus bc they're paying the highest APY of any of my accounts. If you do $100 per month into Marcus in 4 years you'll have the $5200 ($4800 plus $437 in interest). Just a suggestion.

I refuse to see a therapist who is terrible with money. It's a huge part of life. If they don't get it I don't trust them.
