A once-upon-a-time '87 white XJ owner here. Beginning in 2004, after 150,000 miles, lockers and 31s, I've done the Rim 5 times; once descending at night! Every time, I've hit that thing @ 31:33 and have never seen it nor figured out how to avoid it! 😄Almost rolled it the first time descending the last section of the Z turn. Finally learned to come down with the passenger side off the last step first. Great videos, Thanks! BTW, Super 8 rooms were $38 a night back then including a light breakfast and generous ice machines on both floors. Moab has never been the same. Since 2012 our group has discovered another area and aren't telling. It's beginning to change too. Again, thanks for the great Vids! Your partner's smile adds much.

I just watched again! It’s so nice to see Matt, Holly, Colt and the other genuinely enjoying themselves. Listening to Holly make fun of Matt as he goofy danced- that’s stuff that happens in real life that makes relationships so much fun. Just the genuine honest goofball normalcy of this makes it fun. We don’t get enough “silly” in our adult lives. As humans we need hugs and laughter in equal proportion to our stress and anxiety. You are finding that happy medium with the blending of your jobs with activities that you enjoy. I became a charterboat captain against all warnings from my family- now who’s smiling? This video should be run right after the video with the lightning and hail! I love the channel and it’s nice to see the interaction between Matt and Holly, like when they’re home and she prepares a lunch for Matt, Josh, and Holly to sit and eat together as a short break from the days adulting. I didn’t mean to get all long winded and misty eyed! Y’all are just fun and I hope that you’re happiness and success continues. Life is a pendulum and right now you’re on the right side of the swing. 4:25. The BASE jumper had to land on the road. Everywhere over there is either jungle thick tamarisk or ankle breaker rocks. Years ago I saw a guy standing on the roof of his VW bus trying to pick his parachute out of a tamarisk bush/tree with an ice scraper for extra reach. Bent bumpers are no problem. When I was young and full of vigor I backed my dad's truck onto a hill. There was no visible damage, but the bumper wouldn't let the tailgate open. I grabbed the sledgehammer out of the bed of the truck and persuaded that bumper back into its proper place with only the slightest resistance. My dad never noticed and I never mentioned it.

This hit me in a soft spot because of been wheeling my zj for over 8 years now,I'd have to say I was one of the first few to mod and actually wheel one of these hard. When you say heel the wrangler immediately comes to mind and xj not far behind. But I've found my home and raised many eyebrows in my zj and I love it!!!

I live in what most people consider “Paradise”- Anna Maria island, Florida. I see pictures like the shot down that canyon and my jaw dropped. If I ever need some rocks 🪨, I know exactly where to look. Jenna is a great sport for playing along with you guys. That took an incredible amount of trust from her, she is really a trooper for not asking to be able to walk around that one. The sand hill was one thing but the finish obstacle was intense.

This trail and the Poison spyder trail are my favorite Moab Utah trails to run. Haven't been there since Jeep Jamboree 2017!!! Need to go back and hit them again!! Gotta love the sand hill climb one of my favorites on this run.

I agree, coming down is so sketchy. I had to tow my Brother in Law off that trial. He blew out his clutch taking out his crank position sensor, so the Jeep couldn't start or run. I had to drag him almost all the way out, as it happened soon after you turn around to head back. Going down is hard enough, towing someone down is much harder. Something I don't want t do again! lol

Oh I so want to find a sweet Orvis edition.. all I know is the next ZJ I'm getting will have the factory tow package for the 3.73 gears and limited slip rear end, and a 4.0 with Selec-trac.. already have a lift and extended shocks sitting nib for it..

The first 10 years of doing the Rim, we did it only at night in my full size Bronco. I didn't know how sketchy it was till I did it in my YJ in the daylight.
