Slovenia is so underrated. Make sure you explore outside Ljubljana. A small country with a lots of things to do by road trip. Postojna cave with train ride inside, Piran's ocean view, Bled Lake, Bohinj Lake, Predjama Castle (world's largest cave castle) etc.

@@adibmajid9886 thanks for the recommendations. I’m heading to Ljubljana but won’t have too much time to explore. Would like to explore Slovenia properly outside of summer when it’s a bit quieter hopefully 😊

Hi Ben, first, congratulations on 5,000 subs. I think all of your videos are very well done but especially liked the videos you did on Auschwitz Death camp and your 2 vides from Austria were very high quality and great narration. Your somber voice on the Auschwitz video was very fitting for all of the video contents. Wish you the very best on building your channel. If you would feel comfortable talking about it, I think a video about the grief you experienced that pushed you to start this channel would be very interesting and could help your audience relate to you more as a person. Another great way to build your channel would be to have Livestreams were we can connect with you live and new people seeing you live may join and even become a new subscriber. It is hard to believe it is May already but best wishes for the rest of 2024 and beyond.

Thank you Ben. I'm glad you enjoyed those videos, they certainly took a lot of time and effort! That's certainly something I could consider talking about, I think I may start making more personal, or chatty videos alongside my typical travel videos. Thank you for the insight and hope you have a great year too!

I like your videos because I think you come across as really genuine, which many KZbinrs don't. I wanted to comment on the point about travelling while young. The most inspiring person I've met while travelling was actually two people, a couple who I met in Argentina. They were French Canadian from Quebec and were in their 70s. We met them in Buenos Aires (they were staying in the same hotel) and started chatting for a bit. We then went our separate ways but by chance saw each other again a few days later in Mendoza in the wine region. Because it was such a fluke we started chatting again and had a few meals and trips out together. They were fantastic - so enthusiastic about doing things and seeing places. They travelled as much as they could and had been everywhere. Their only concession to their age was getting taxis to hotels rather than struggling with their luggage and not trying to do too much each day, but they were brilliant - really loved life and doing everything, not letting their age stop them from participating. I've often thought about them in the years since and hope I can replicate their positive attitude and sense of adventure. Anyway, I was inspired by one of your recent videos to visit Zakopane so I've booked a trip to Krakow. I'm looking forward to it. Please keep vlogging and I'm sure your channel will eventually get the number of subscribers you want (and deserve)

That's a fantastic story, thank you for sharing. I really appreciate the feedback too, hope you have a fantastic time visiting Krakow / Zakopane. If you end up doing any day trips through GetYourGuide (Auschwitz, salt mines, zakopane), if you access through some of the links in the description of my videos it would help support me and my channel, which would be much appreciated ❤️ Have a fantastic trip!

Hi Ben! Really enjoy your videos, sorry they don’t do as well as intended. But like with anything, it comes with consistency. I think varying your content might be cool, even mini vlogging your day to day interests, hiking, gym and so on. Also, you might be happy to know, I’m a woman commenting! You are quite charming 😮😂

Hey! Yeah you might be right, even some of the local walks I do, or more ramble-style, chatty vlogs. I might start making more relaxed videos like that alongside my typical travel-videos 😊 Haha that's fantastic too, glad you think so!😁😅

In regards to channel growth (I hope the keywords don’t get this comment auto removed for spam!), I found that it genuinely starts off slow and feels like it’s going nowhere, then all of a sudden the curve starts. I used Veefly on my other channel on 2-3 videos and noticed a growth after that. I feel the pain though, it’s frustrating - especially when you see other content creators smashing thousands of views with poor quality vids. I think if you keep going with it, the algorithm does take off, but most channels don’t have the patience to keep it going. I just do mine as a hobby and make a few quid here and there.

What is your other channel Rob? Would be intrigued to know! And I think you're right, it's probably always going to grow somewhat exponentially, but you're right. It requires a lot of patience, effort and investment!
