Took both a 5.0 6 speed and a Golf R MK7.5 6 speed for a 24h test drive recently and I loved both cars. The Golf R defied gravity with its handling and was super nimble and the GT screamed and never ran out of power even above 100mph. A GTI/R with the speed of a 5.0 Mustang is the dream

@@heygarage5903 that’s where you’re wrong buddy, I had the pleasure of owning 2 MQB’s both modified with a downpipe and tune. Was quick no doubt but my mustang sounds better and I love shifting and hearing the exhaust as a daily. It’s stock tune so I can run 87 octane and still gap some cars. 3 S4’s down 2 bmw’s neck and neck and 2 G37’s down. I get way more races and complements and overall attention in my mustang compared to my A3. The A3 would take the GT from a dig any day but the stang would always take it from a roll. A wider and longer wheelbase with lower center of gravity and the performance package helps this car turn too. Idk why you thought mustangs are on trick ponies… educate yourself and don’t be so naive and arrogant. Both are great platforms I love the underdog mqb representing i just wanted something new and different. 👌

Depends on power goals. Bigger turbo will always give higher output but at the cost of spool time in rpm

Only in stock form. Gearing is different, other than that manual mk7 will need a clutch upgrade while dsg will needs a trans tune which can make or break your experience with the dsg (shift points, clamping force etc)
