Actually really appreciate the loss videos. Helpful to hear you commentate your mistakes and navigate tilt. Handling losses well is an important part of remaining profitable long term, it's interesting to see how you and other vloggers deal with variance, mistakes, and bad beats.

Thanks for showing the losses as well as the wins. I was on 2/5 at TCH Dallas this week , buy in $1,000, lost lost lost, down to $125. Got AA and doubled up, then won a few other pots and got back up to over $500, then got AA again, all in vs a QQ caller. Cashed out for $1200.....WHEW !

The 5/5 and 5/10 games at the Commerce are real blood games. You better eat your Wheaties before you sit down over there. The action is live and there are plenty of tricky players. In there you gotta play tight and be really choosy with your bluffs because players will call with a wide range of hands. It is extremely hard to consistently make money in the 5/5 or 5/10 game at the Commerce.

Thanks for sharing. I do agree you should add triple barrel bluff to your game but not sure on sizing in particular. From your opponent perspective, for you to bet on 1 liner with that sizing, you are basically eliminating alot of AK and AQ from your range. To me it looks like you are saying you have 2 pair+ if you indeed have a value hand. So he doesnt have to worry about calling and losing to 1 pair hands, in essence your bet would appear polarized to your opponent. If your opponent doesnt think you would bet thinner value, your bet on these type of board texture become polarized in a sense. IMO either use a bigger sizing or give up.

On the 562 board where you say you check back the flop for “pot control and deception” with AJ high doesn’t make sense, it’s neither pot control or deception since you don’t have a made hand, it’s better just to just c bet range and a big bet on turn most likely gets him off and if not you can have some give ups at that point and take your value to showdown praying to be good

@DixiePokerAce2 жыл бұрын
Once you step up to 5/10 things get amazingly real at the table. You have to have a sizable bankroll to sit in that game and the players are better. I usually stick to 2/5 because the swings at 5/10 can be brutal.

@wolfgang think your mistake w QcTc vs A2 hand is you didn’t take into account who you’re playing against. You take a line of “I’m repping this range” and he’s “repping this range from x position”. Think you have to take into consideration the type of player. Cuz if a guy calls w A2 off out position, he’s type of player would call pair of 2’s w A kicker, let alone pair A’s no kick. And also I got the feeling the table was tilt calling your raises. ie sometimes when player keeps 3-4 betting preflop and never wins/shows a quality hand. Ppl start calling wider ranges, and if flop top pair will call down no matter predetermined.
@thestew572 жыл бұрын
Commerce is tough sometimes man. Its a weird flow sometimes. Sometimes the best times are 10-4am , other times everyone is tight. Lots of weird calls that make no sense. bro that hand where you had JJ was filthy ...but I think maybe you thought by moving up to 5/10 that the player pool is much more aggro and they will be making more big river bluffs than you would see at 2/5 ...and that is simply not the case especially at the Commerce 5/10...that game was a bunch of loose passive stations....when that player type bets big OTR alarm bells should be ringing..

Wolf on the pocket Jacks hand if it's the same player and he's fishy easily could have flopped a straight with 56 suited or A5s. Trips. Etc.. when he called The Flop that 225 he obviously has something he checked the turn to you hoping you would bet but you checked and that's why he fired so big on the river I think you just have to find a folder if you think about the hand and think about the player I doubt he would bet 500 on a busted flush

The logic at 4:45 does not apply to this hand as it played out. After UTG bets into the pre-flop raiser and gets two callers, and a flush comes on the turn, no competent player is going to lead out into two other players from the SB without that flush or the full house that beats it. Your decision at 5:05 should have been to check back. With that board, you are only getting called by a flush or a boat, and the SB would only have one of those two hands.
@hendrik10042 жыл бұрын
nit alarm!! you dont play lowstakes, huh?
@RickKasten2 жыл бұрын
@@hendrik1004 The video was made playing $5/$10. Do you call that low stakes? But I wouldn't bet out at $1/$2 either. I'd play this hand exactly as SB did to trap Wolfgang exactly how it went down: lead out the turn with the 2nd-nut flush, see who calls, check-call the river, hoping Wolfgang doesn't have the nut flush or full house.
