If that sternum strap works like the rush series it is adjustable. The clips come off and they can be moved to a different molle loop.

@lesliepaulkovacs64427 жыл бұрын
Ben, I believe the Shoulder Straps are so big is that where you are carrying a Laptop, a Law Enforcement Officer would have a Ballistic Panel or Two on a Simple Chest Rig. Also, it looks like those two front pockets that don't pass through would hold an AR Magazine each. And that upper pocket where you put your glasses looks just the right size to hold a Badge that goes around your neck. Thus the need for thick Straps. Still looks like a nice pack for "Civilians", though.
@JohnOhkumaThiel5 жыл бұрын
That’s excellent. Thanks for showing me that. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s overpadded, but lots of great features. Besides wanting a lot of organization without adding bags in bags, which this solves, I tear through bags very quickly-no I’m not in the military or law enforcement-so how durable would you say this bag is? Seams and any edges in particular, I literally wear through the material.

The clips that attach the sternum straps can be clipped and replaced in a different loop to lower it. You could use "d" type clips made of metal that will bend into shape in your choice of loops. Just a thought. Nice pack!

unfortunately I can't wait a year before reviewing an item. I can only speak from experience with materials and construction. plus mileage will vary depending on how hard you are on gear. if something were to prematurely fail i would bring it to my audiences' attention.

The only thing I don't like about the 5.11 bags is the drainage hole at the bottom. It becomes more of an entry hole rather than drainage most of the time for water, dust and sand. If they wanted to keep things dry inside they should have just added a raincover or some other way to keep water from getting in in the first place.

Mitchell Guccion I like 5.11 better than the Gamut in terms of function and size, I do like the look and material feel of the Gamut better. I think the Gamut is more of a daily EDC, while the 5.11 can get you through 48 hours. Just my 2 cents.
