Hi HDM1000, That is an interesting question. The coldest we had in the UK last winter was around -5 and this was very warm with just a polo underneath. The jacket is XXL which is my normal size but comes up a little larger than normal, which gives enough room for a thicker or couple of thinner layers with ease. Reading through the 5.11 customer reviews I think you should be fine with this jacket. I hope this helps. Regards, MKR.

Hi JayDiazzz, You can ask anything you like as long as it dosent involve my age :0( I use a 40" waist on all my 5.11 trousers. But, there is still plenty of room in the 5-in-1 jacket for a bigger waist if you need it. I hope this helps. Regards, MKR.

According to the 511 website the 5 in 1 has an elastic waist as opposed to the half draw string on the 3 in 1 parka. Thanks for the size info, I was thinking XXL but wanted to be sure.

Hi Gylkrans, There is no means of waist adjustment, although the elasticated waist is more than adequate Regards, MKR..

Love your reviews! Just wanted to add regarding the waist - if it is the same as with the 3-in-1 model which looks very similar then the adjustment straps for the waist is inside the pockets. It seems a bit fiddly to adjust but I like that feature anyway. That means the straps won't snag in anything and be ripped of the jacket. I've had that happen to another jacket.

Hi DarkFire, Your right, I am a 52" chest and all of the upper body clothing I have from 5.11 is XXL, it all fits perfectly. This really is a very versatile jacket that can be changed around very quickly. Regards, MKR

Great review. Do I remember you saying in one review that you're a 52" chest? If so, same as me. What size did you get because it looks like a perfect fit. Glad you did this review, I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while...

Great review about the great jacket. Unfortunately, I would prefer 5 in 1 in parka style due to weather condition I live in. I hope 5 in 1 parka jacket will be available as well in the future. Thanks for review.

Great video. You showed all the features thoroughly. Love the scads of pockets! What size is that? My husband is about your size, and needs one. Would you recommend going up one size from your normal size or going down one size? I need one also, and I don't know whether to get small or medium... What size would you advise my husband and I get? Thanks for the helpful review.

Just wanted to come back and say thank you for your reply's again, they where helpful. And you where the only person to respond to me, here on youtube and other websites as well. I just placed a order for the aggressor parka, in coyote brown, large. Hope it fits(lol). Feel free to delete my multitude of posts, don't mean to spam your video.

I have another question that maybe you can answer that I can't seem to get anywhere else. Since you said your son has the aggressor parka, do you know if the fleece is the same length as the outer shell? or is it jacket length?
@MilKitReviews10 жыл бұрын
Hi Germ, Both the Agressor and the 3 in 1 have slightly llonger than waist length fleece liners which double as a removeable jacket. You have about 3" of the outer parker longer than the liner. I hope this helps. Regards, MKR.

Is this jacket worth the 200 dollars? Is it going to be a all around system? Will it keep me warm in 30 degree and colder weather? Also, is that the navy blue?THe only color options are black and blue, but yours looks much lighter blue then what is shown on amazon. I like the color of yours.
@MilKitReviews10 жыл бұрын
Hi Germ, Yes it is worth every penny, it is the warmest jacket I own. I was wearing it in -11c last winter and it was great. The colour you see in the video is the same as you will get. Some websites don't have very good colour representation. Regards, MKR.

I'm six foot and a hundred and sixty pounds, would you recommend the large or medium? I don't want it to be a tight uncomfortable fit with the sleeves being too short. Also, I'm opting for the aggressor parka instead of the 5 in 1. They"re basically the same thing but the parka is longer, and comes in different colors.
@MilKitReviews10 жыл бұрын
Hi Germ, As far as sizing goes I have found 5.11's size guide to be bang on. I have a 52" chest and am 6' tall, I take a 2XL in all their jackets and shirts an find it to be spot on. I also have the 3 in 1 and my son has the Aggressor parka, both great coats. if you need the extra length go for either but neither have removeable sleeves like the 5 in 1 . Please let me know what you choose. Regards, MKR.

MilKitReviews Thank you for the replys, have been helpful. I'm going to get the parka, it's about 70 dollars less, and it comes in better colors in my opiinion. Plus it has drawstrings on the bottom and is longer, so no draft going up the coat. The sleeveless feature of the 5 in 1 isn't that alluring to me, and I've never been measured for clothing so I don't really know what my chest size is. But I've found recently that everything I have in medium is too tight and uncomfortable, but I'm not sure on 5.11's sizes. As I don't own any of their clothing, just one of their packs. I have long arms, and am kind of linky but I don't like my clothing to fit tightly. Specially now that I'm back on a weight lifting routine I don't want to buy a 200 dollar jacket I'm going to grow out of in a year.

MilKitReviews Wouldn't let me edit my other post, with a tape measure wrapped around my chest, It came to about 41 42 inches. So I'll probably get large, as 42 is right in between medium and large on their size scale.
@Germfish10 жыл бұрын
MilKitReviews Hmm, I thought I had read that the parka had drawstrings, but I guess I was wrong about that.

Is that dark navy or black
@MilKitReviews10 жыл бұрын
Hi Skullmonster, It's dark navy. I went for that colour for a change and SWMBO was fedup with me mostly wearing black. I really like it and makes it better for covert wear as it's not tactical black. Regards, MKR.

Can you please tell me how the outer liner compares by itself to the Sabre Jacket please?
