I carry the same bag. You're so right when you say everyone makes fun of you for what you carry until they need it. My wife and daughter always makes fun of me but they use the bag more than I do. Great review and thanks for your service. 👍🏻🇺🇸

@@Springfield_7.62x63mm Yeah, I'm the "crazy prepper guy with lots of , meds, guns, extra high capacity mags, MREs, ECWS, BDUs, and more". We'll see whose laughing when/if SHTF (I live in the mountains on an isolated tract of private land, so I'd be more likely to bug in, but I'm prepared to bug out if need be). My primary backpack is the MARPAT ILBE with the built in assault pack. Lots of room, compression straps, MOLLE webbing all round (plenty of room to attach additional pockets and pouches, which I do), it's about the best IMO (most stuff that is milsurp is better, I think).

Very concise and informative video review. I own the Rush 72 for my BoB and it holds 50# of gear easily and comfortably, and it is is very well balanced. The Rush 12 and 24 will attach to the 72 via the tier system of buckles and straps. I pair the Rush 72 with the MOAB 10 sling bag, so once I hit camp I strip the MOAB off for day hiking. Its a great system and very well built and designed. I have been considering adding the 12 to my system and your video has helped me to make the decision to go ahead and buy it. Thanks, BB!

I go to basic in a few months and want to get a bag before getting there. Should I get the 12 or 24, considering there's a less than $10 difference on Amazon. Would the 24 qualify as carry-on? Thanks!
@caseybiggs59358 жыл бұрын
its about time you reviewed the 12 :) just kidding, I remember asking to review the 72 but you said you will be doing the 12 soon & great stuff! I love 5.11 and especially these 12h to 3 day packs they're really nice. I've always admired and been drawn to these packs maybe we share a good sense in style and design? :) I still need to update and I've had my eye on one of these for a while now. I've been leaning to the 72 a lot because it can be my day pack and bug out pack because I tend to go over the top even with edc. However, I really like the direct action dragon egg!! I have my mind set on this one for definite and maybe I'll try packing smaller in day packs instead of carrying a 3 day all the time & I might just take it up with you and get the 12 for standard day carry, the molly, handle and hook n loop at the bottom is great also the drainage and bladder system. I need the dragon egg from DA to bug out! this way i won't have to load up the 3 day in a bug out situation it will already be there and I'll have the R12 on me already :) Korea hey? hope the day is going well, grace us and protect us with or without our packs... kinda throwing it out there but the pull tie in main comp could be useful to maintain some small game? if you had to skin & gut a squirrel, snake, bird, rabbit and maybe a appropriate section of big game. I would stuff in some plastic baggie's too incase of anything unwanted

Hi, great review. I was wondering if you would know if the Rush 24 (the mid range sized bag) would be suitable for a longer than 1 day trip? For example, I'm thinking of using an R24 (which I've never seen in person as yet) for a carry-on bag to last me three days. I don't think I want to go as large as the R72 as I hear that's a really big bag. Thought you might have some insight on this. Thanks.

First off, I want to thank you for all the videos you do. Been watching for a few years but this is my first time commenting. Do you know of any bug out bags that don't use plastic as their weight bearing attachment by the shoulder straps that get tightened ? Loaded my rush 72 a few weeks ago and the plastic just broke. I started looking into this and every bag I have seen does this. There has to be something better or stronger than plastic. I figured you would be the best to ask. Thanks in advance !

I have to give up the EDC vehicle bag idea. I have lost 3 awesome bags within the last 7 months due to car break-ins. I've lost a Rush 10, 12 and a Smith & Wesson EDC bag all since December 2015. It's become a very expensive loss and frustrating. I have only my Rush 72 B.O.B. in the home. Luckily I never keep firearms in my bags like I see in some videos.

Such as load bearing equipment, uniform, protective equipment and firearms, but extra things like knives, flashlights, and backpacks will have to be purchased separately.
