Check out the COVRT 18 Backpack from 5.11 Tactical Series at budurl.com/511T... for more information and for user reviews.
Our new COVRT 18 is a bag built to blend in, yet go operational at a moment's notice, whether through the mall, on the beach, or at the airport. And because blending in means not having the same color as everyone else on your team, the COVRT 18 is offered in five colorways: 021 Asphalt/Black, 189 Deep Moss Green/Black, 193 Mantis Green/Dark Oak, 475 Code Red/Steel Grey and 726 True Navy/Asphalt. When you need to be ready for anything, choose the COVRT 18.

I work as a construction site photographer and ALWAYS wear/use 5.11 gear as it's tough. I wish you would make either a full Rush camera bag or a set of inserts for them. Would be an amazing product.

I just purchased this bag but I had a question, will it fit a 17 inch laptop. My friend advised me to purchase this bag as he carries one for himself. Thank you Neil

I seen this backpack in a tactical store and I put it on and it's very comfortable on the shoulder straps as well on your back, but how well is the bottom of the bag can hold up to, there is no rubber or leather that you can put on the ground or any where that dust or water can get in?

Has 5.11 come out with any of the shoulder strap puches mentioned in the video designed to attach & work with the QuickTact™ accessory straps?

This is a very nice looking bag with 7 years of video reviews by other users on youtube with plenty of suggestions for upgrades. I'm wondering when an updated version might be put to market? I'm looking at buying one in the near future but seeing as the color I was hoping for has been taken off the market (black/dark green) and i was hoping an updated version may be coming out soon anyway i might hold off for a while and find out. some of the features I'm hoping will be updated would be first adding loops to the bag's bottom like the rush 72 and all hazard prime to allow the carrying of a bedroll or rolled up jacket or even a skateboard. since there is no shove-it pocket like on other bags. ( I realize this bag is target market for Covert Opps Military and Police but a very large part of your market is CCW, Preppers, Backpackers, and Students looking for a "grey man" option) second would be to extend the RAC zippers to the bottom to allow the panel to be completely out of the way or even dangle so you need not empty the 2 small pockets. maybe use a bit of Velcro to stick it to the underside of the bag. third the laptop retention strap should be elastic or have an adjustable buckle to cinch it tight to keep it from falling forward. forth i have seen many people reviewing that say they would like to have seen the velcro in the CCW pocket extend from top to bottom to allow attachment of mag pouches or other organization options, fifth, some of the reviews i watched mentioned they were dissatisfied with the placement of the compression straps. reasons being that since they were up so high access to the top of the main compartment even for small things in the top zipper pocket required undoing the buckles. the second reason from some other reviews (mostly backpacker/hikers) was the compression straps didnt so much compress the load as it forced things to the bottom causing an unbalanced load (personally im not sure what they mean im just compiling a list) the solution would be to move the compression straps lower. a couple reviews said 2-3 inches would "make a world of difference" but this is something for your engineers to experiment with and lastly you should offer a waste belt with tear away velcro like the shoulder straps. this would give alot more mounting possibilities. speaking of pouches ive seen overviews of the tech and pistol pouches... the tech i might be able to use. for a mp3 player or a multi tool. but otherwise it looks too small to actually hold modern electronics. may want to upgrade the size a little to fit a common radio or smart phone. the pistol pouch mounted to the shoulder strap looks overly bulky in my opinion but if you were to incorporate a waste belt and turn it 90 degrees not only would the pistol be better accessible it would be far easier to draw. and if it were a non discript color pattern on the body it would blend in almost like a fanny pack. Anyway, i do hope my comment dosent fall on deaf ears and at the very least my rambling is thought provoking. Thank you for your time.

Laptop pocket is great, elastic is not needed really, as when stuff is inside the pressure keeps laptop/tablet I'm place. Rac system rolls down well, velcro at bottom would take away from the look and be damaged when set down. Additional Velcro space in ccw pocket would be nice. The compression straps are ok, but if lowered would limit pocket openings. It's not a hiking bag so use for that can be problematic, but to fix the sagging of contents they have a small panel to attach molle stuff to you can buy separate for like $20 (can organize main compartment better with it)
