Norfolk Southern Traffic Jam! - Part 2 of 2

After finally returning to my car following 4 hours in a cornfield, I heard that the northbound NS 282 intermodal was approaching and was instructed to stop at CP Ball on the NS New Castle District in order to pick up the crew from NS 197 (tied down on the main) and take them to Ft. Wayne. I rushed down to the crossing at CR 600S / W. Monroe St. in Cowan, IN, about 100 yards south of the CP Ball signals and crossovers. Northbound NS 65G was tied down on the siding as minutes later NS 282 approached on the main, then it passed CR 600S and crossed over onto the siding and stopped adjacent to the head end of NS 197. There it picked up the crew and took off on its trip.
What a day! It was well worth spending 4 hours in a cornfield!

I start Monday at Progress Rail in Muncie super excited. Went down a locomotive rabbit hole on KZbin learning everything I can. I'm starting to have a whole different view on trains
