So I learned some things about this level with the Matabele Ants medics and soldier relationships in one's playstyle If you pick fast responders, you can actually 100% focus on upgrading and getting numerous soldiers up, upgrading them to level 2s and 3s, and can get away with say 15-20 medics and only keep them as level 1. With this you have a super powerful frontline and heavy assault force that is damn near invincible and can easily hold the line against the driver ants and even push them back provided you have some food to back them up (i did it with only 1.2k food in reserves and only needed about 600 with how hard they were to kill and how strong they were) The medics bring back the wounded, heal them back up so fast that reinforcements arrive just before the driver ants can get a snowball rolling (the typical ant snowball where one side eventually has more soldiers and can reinforce faster then the opponent can, resulting in 1 ball growing bigger while the enemy trickles in) If you go with Anasthesis, you can focus less on soldiers and more on the level 3 medics, getting far more level 3 medics and only needing about 15 soldiers total, with a few being level 2 and maybe a few level 3 to balance out. With this combo while your staying power isn't as strong, your ability to deal damage is super high and big creatures suffer incredibly, making the numerous scorpions and centipeds that annoy your food lines a trivial thing! But against the driver ants you need a large stockpile of food to supply your forces and hold near the entrance because otherwise, you just will get outclassed as your medics fall back to heal the injurred and eventually your ball gets weaker/smaller so interesting how the medic choice makes one's playstyle change so drastically

Oh for sure. Fast Responder depends more on their numbers more than anything. Since they are faster than the soldiers or ana medics, they can get to the front faster or retrieve more termites faster and make multiple runs quickly. Their ability to quickly revive fallen ants (takes like 4 seconds compared to Ana medic 10 seconds), makes them super good.

On the other hand, Ana is mainly good upgraded, so you’ll want to spam a few before fully focusing on upgrading them. Since Ana medics require the support of other ant units that deal physical damage, they aren’t too great on their own. That said, the 30% physical debuff at level 3 is still pretty useful

14:37 i did not know that the huntsman spider actually eats stuff
@NappyB13 ай бұрын
Yea, it’s a bit weird they can eat actual food dropped, but it’s a nice addition to them

I’m not sure what I did in my run but I definitely had more or almost more medics then soldiers. I used fast responder just like you 😀

My run is pretty old, recorded in like the middle of May, so there was still stuff I needed to learn lol, but I feel like I did pretty good.

@@NappyB1 even though it’s a different level, better than when I failed for at least a combined 12 hours in triage impossible w/challenge

Nice video also what is the challenge in the Matabele ant missions

Assassin bugs. They execute your ants and wear them as camo. They can't be attacked when they have ant bodies on their back. Only way to fight them is to wait until their camo is gone. The bodies drop overtime

0:10 I didn't realize that was the original loading screen! I thought that they redesigned the loading screens before Tier 5
@NappyB1Ай бұрын
Yep! I recorded these while beta testing the tier 5 levels. So the loading screens were slightly different before they got the new art work a bit before release

Skill issue not winning on day 4 tbh, heolx could've done it with both fingers in his nose 😤

Heolx uses hacks, lol. Anyway, I can do this day 4, just that this recording was a few weeks before release. I’ve gotten better
