I knew straight away when you arrived that this one would be good - no flashy modern signage, plenty of seating inside, cheap prices and a simple menu. I always find that the best chip shops are like this - presumably because the food is so good that they don't need to spend on advertising. 10/10 for this one.

Yeah chris closed up on the last day of the season on 6th November. He doesn’t reopen now until the end of march for the start of the Easter holidays.

OMG Lee, just been to Tower Fisheries in Blackpool following your review. Totally agree it's a brilliant chippy. We ate in. It was Saturday night. Fish and chips cooked freshly to order. Couldn't fault it. We told the owner we went because we had seen your review. Hope it goes from strength to strength because we wouldn't have known about it otherwise. Apologies I forgot to add Lee, Chris Higgitt shut on 6th November for the winter months. I believe he reopens next March sometime but he is often in Pete’s Happy Dayz amusement and bingo arcade at weekends. This is great Lee definately will be trying it next time me and the kids are there, weve had the £1 burgers a couple of times but now I know where to go for fish n chips , there was black pudding chips n gravy on the menu for £4.95 never seen that combo before . Its only £6.50 for pie chips peas gravy , bread n butter and tea or coffee. Even had haggis on the menu. A great find thankyou. 🥰😉❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

There is Churchill's near me in Chelmsford where you can get a hake & chips(mushy peas not included) for £4.99 between 12-16.00. That looks like a good place and it sounds like he helps people out. 👍
