Absolutely, when I saw the,price I had pretty low expectations, but I was pleased to have those expectations wildly exceeded! And yeah, £1 for a kids meal, you could feed a family of 4 for £16 there, great stuff!

The North West in general has suffered through lack of investment over several decades but it's great that a vlogger such as yourself is able to see the positives and enjoy northern hospitality. When we go South we're never disappointed with the vistas but find the locals don't seem to warm to tourists at all. Cheaper fish and chips , pies and friendlier people , then there's the advantage of having Scotland on our doorstep , bit of a journey that one for you guys 😁 Great that you're having a good time despite the weather and looking forward to your next surprise 👍

Living in Dorset I know that outside of the hospitality sector tourists are generally viewed as an inconvenience, clogging up our little roads and nice beaches ha ha! I always love spending time in the North, every shop you go in you receive a friendly greeting and genuine interest in where you're from etc. Love it. If only it wasn't colder and rainy all the time I might move there ha ha!

I live here in Blackpool when l go to the town centre and feel hungry l always go to Tower fisheries they are the best fish and chips in the town centre... The Indian family that own the business are very good and friendly they have owned and run this chippy for many years.... Definitely the best chippy in town... 😊👍

I had a great chat with the guy who runs the place - properly lovely fella. They've been there for so many years and made a decision to make a living but provide a service of decent food at a very affordable price. Fair play to them for that!

That's serious value in this day and age. A piece of Cod on its own in my local chipper is €8.20. A portion of chips is €3.80.

It's such a shame the decline. But holidays abroad became the thing for some. I had a walk down the street where we stayed as children. It wasn't as pretty as I had thought. In fact it was depressing. The roads behind the sea front were awful. I might visit again just to go to the chippy. I can go on the train. £6.95 for all that! Looks lovely. Real chips and posh gravy boats. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the batter. Peas look great. Probably soak the dried peas overnight. Just how I like them and with bacon ribs too. I have never tried curry sauce with chips even though I used to make it for my son and his friends and bought it in powder form. Always made the chips in the frying pan with beef dripping, which seems to be bleached these days. Doesn't taste the same at all. I shall look forward to your next chippy review. 🍟

Missing a few chips there 😂. When i was studying in London it was impossible to get a Fish and Chip meal with bread and butter - they charged ridiculous prices for a slice of bread and butter. The worse thing the price some places charged for scraps. A mate of mine always liked to wind up the Southern chip shops by asking for a Barmcake and chips 😂 the look of confusion on their faces. Us Northerners know how to do fish n Chips 😂. There is a nice seaside chip shop a bit further down from Blackpool in Lytham St Annes - defo my fav place to go when i visit it.

There are far worse chippy’s in Blackpool that charge more, I think Tower Fisheries is a cheap and cheerful chippy. Yorkshire Fisheries at the other end of the street has won many awards for many years but it’ll cost you more than a tenner.

Bentleys at 131 Bond St on the South shore are excellent; my Daughter is gluten free and she loves them! Great value, also very nice people!

A wonderful video, I saw you on Gary's video today. The prices in this chippy are unreal, so cheap and that food looks lovely. I am in London, so you need a second mortgage to buy it here.

Amazing value in this place, half the price of the Yorkshire Fisheries just down the road. I was last up in London in February. Although I did find a couple of budget options, some of the prices you have to pay up there are bonkers!

I think “Mr Blackpool” Walk on a wildside had food in here so I knew this was a decent enough Chippy when I saw you were going there. Bargain to be fair Greeno. I would like to take my daughters up to Blackpool for the pleasure beach etc but with my daughters I’m for some reason unsure. I expect Walk on the Wildside has been there (hopefully on his own rather than with the GB News of bloggers!). Was an absolute bargain. I reckon it's a good trip with the kids, although I'd be sure to keep them away from the somewhat seedier backstreet areas!

Well I think I need to come back up to Blackpool and try some more for comparison purposes! Be hard to beat Tower Fisheries for taste and value though.
