5.7 Hemi 2018 Ram Head Resurface

In this video we inspect and evaluate our 2018 Dodge Ram 5.7 Hemi Heads.

Another great video! Cool seeing what my 5.7 HEMI heads look like. I like how the fixture has four points of contact on securing the head. Looks like it would be more secure than 3 points like on some of the old heads you’ve done. Hopefully I don’t have to do that to mine anytime soon. I wonder if their engine was overheated?

Thank you Chris, I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment. If the heads are still true, these were. I set up the way they were machined. I do overhead cam heads this way. Industrial are done this way. No, the engine was not overheated. Gaskets failed. Maybe bolt torque issues. Take care,Ed.

Thank for watching and the question. I have never milled anymore than about .010 or .012. Still used stock pushrods. Milling .030 would require changing the pushrods, IMO. Take care, Ed.
