Really well put together video, idk how you only have 3.5k subs, I just picked up a 14’ R/T AWD in February and love what you’ve done to your car. Making it compete with hellcats as well to being able to daily drive it.

On a 50 degree day ill drive 20 miles to work and oil temps at only at 160. It settles out at 180

Was the oil cooler ran to the lower radiator hose? Or did it go directly to the oil cooler? And back into the block?

It is set up similar to the 392 engines. Goes between the block and the filter and diverts the flow to the heat exchanger

@@canyou_heminow nope. Literally a diverted flow of oil using an adapter sandwiched between the filter and block. Line through exchanger than back

i got 5.7 awd 300c 14' , my oil temp rises to 230+ within 30mins of driving , no CELs , u got any idea y

If im not mistaken stock will run around 220. Bigger issue if you are modified and boosted

Great vid,,, did you by pass the tc lines from the oem condenser to a new tc cooler ? Separate from the ac confessor!! As AC / condenser and tc oil cooler are both in same place!! 30% of the condenser is the tc cooler !! Ifk why they did not make a separate cooler for TC ??? SMH

Basically added the adapted from the 392 at the oil filter that has an inlet and outlet. Ran lines to the heat exchanger mounted on the front

I have the 2019 scatpack widebody Challenger and my oil temps gets up to 230 something sometimes that’s why I started looking into oil cooler but not really sure which one is good for my 6.4 cause I see ones for 5.7 but not 6.4? And advice ?

@@moparjack3442 the "heat exchanger" is the radiator part of the cooling kit

Can I ask what does the oil cooler exactly do other than cool the oil? On cold days does it cause any issues?

So the weak part of the 5.7 hemi is the piston rings. They get hot and expand and then chip the top of the piston off. Keeping oil temps down helps keep things cool in this case the rings. It is a safety measure. On cold days my oil runs at about 165. Have not checked on sub zero temperatures

@@MoparGuy1625 - Look at it this way, police cars have not only oil coolers but transmission oil coolers as well. I bought a used police car once and it had 325,000 miles on it.......... Usually police cars are used around the clock for all shifts and most likely running almost 24 hours a day. These coolers truly help keep the engine and transmission live longer and run smoothly.

@@dasllamas - I have a 2014 R/T AWD with Hemi 5.7. Amazing find for me as I bought it in 2018 with only 30,000 miles on it. Here it is Sept 2022 and i barely have have 40,000 miles on it. The car is parked, covered and garaged most of the time especially during the winter. I had bought used police cars before and got to thinking about how they are set up and wondered if I could have oil cooler and maybe transmission cooler installed. I found you and YES! Saw a comment that someone said you installed a hellcat exhaust system, I am going to look for your video on this. Def love the Charger!

Very happy with it. Only problem is if it is cold out it takes forever for the oil to warm up. It was 20 degrees out the other day and I drove 25 miles home took 45 minutes and oil was still only 130 degrees. Had to idle the car for 15 minutes just to get up to 80 degrees for the oil.

Think you should be able to plumb it with a manual T valve. In the winter bypass the oil cooler then open it for racing or summer.

Could u just run meth to cool everything? Appreciate the video, I have an 06 magnum rt awd that I wanted to boost but it's had a lot of issues with the coolant system and I wanted something newer.

I run meth 9n this setup too. Meth alone wont help keep the engine cool it just cools the air going into the engine and adds octane to the fuel. Prevents predetonation and knock.

@@dasllamas right on. I opted for a 2014 taurus sho bc it was a few grand cheaper than an 2014 awd rt same ish mileage and already boosted but idk kinda wish I would of just went with a newer rt, would handle more power and the water pump isn't internal. Eh maybe next year 🤔

Ikon motorsports. Dont remember the model. Type s lip or something like that. I need to put the adhesive tape on it to close up the gap. Just have it "test fit" on for now

@@tahirmuhmmad8924 did you change your oil? Clean oil vs dirty oil can change pressure. Also temperature can change it too. I still sit at around 50 psi
