I owned a Ram and it had exactly 508 miles on it. At the gas station after filling up the tank went to start it and it sounded like it blew up. Called the dealer they sent out a truck to haul it to them. They would not say anything about what went wrong. Gave me a loner and around a month later asked me to come in and pick out another new one. I did and it had front end issues. It was like the assembly forgot to tighten all the bolts holding everything together. Finally got all that fixed and ordered a new Chevy truck. No more Rams for me

Tbh, Chrysler entered the Australian market TWICE and got bought out by Mitsubishi the first time, now on their second time they've pushed around customers SO BADLY it's sheer luck that our government hasn't shut thrm down. They get barely ANY sales here, I think you can only buy jeeps now. And very few people even get them but I know of a dealer. They stopped selling the vans a few years ago because they were such lemons. If jeep goes, it's the SECOND time they've failed in Australia. We have the dodge ram now for like the last 2 years but but it's so expensive and big for our size roads that there's very few out there. There's a few chrysler 300C around but they're rare and when they sold a lot they had to drop them to PEANUTS prices to even get sales. Like tiny econobox car prices. I remember in 2008 they had the diesel 300 going for equivalent of about US$18,000 NEW because noone was buying. A carolla cost more at the time.

I was involved in durability testing the 5.7 Hemi years ago and there was a high failure rate of these engines. They seemed to be pretty fragile and laugh at the thought of a power adder on these grenades. The oiling issues not to mention the 215-225 coolant temps are what probably cause the common dropped valve seat issues. Another example of "cutting corners chrysler".
