Tasting leaks is also important. New shop location, Head tech point to watery leak getting on frame near front of engine and says find this coolant leak. I pressure test and find no leak. I’m 75 years old and my dad was a part time mechanic and full time farmer. Small family farm for existence and some profit. He did a one man mechanic shop and worked on everything from lawn mowers to farm tractors. Brake , clutch replacement and full tare down over-halls from the 1950s through the 70s. No specialty tools and an electric impact gun. Everything was done sight and feel. His engines lasted well into the life of the cars and trucks and tractors. I used this knowledge to maintain my vehicles until when you raised the hood and could no longer see the ground below. I was the only one out of the 3 boys that could do this so I fixed their vehicles as well. My dads shop had a gravel floor and potbelly stove that was like heating a stable in an open barn. Good ole tuff times and lot of good memories.

They are long, You have to watch the tailswing, especially when you're wheels are slid forward. Second when wheels are slid back, you will be catching curbs in cities with narrow roads and tight turns, especially with your long Truck. I know you are a great driver but that extra 8 feet makes a huge difference. It can get expensive. The dump.valve will help. One other thing is the gap between axles for tie downs will require added equipment, that you have. It offers versatility especially with ramps. Alot easier to throw straps and climb on. Good luck.
