5 7L Dodge Charger O2 senor replacement

With most Dodge/Chrysler products, you can cycle the key 3 times (from off to on, then off to on, then off to on and stay on- don't crank the engine) and the codes will be displayed where the odometer is. It will display Pxxxx ( P code number) Just incase you don't have a scanner. I haven't had good luck with the socket that has a slot cut in it. Often times the sensor is rusted in pretty good. And the socket will spread out and try to round off the sensor. When I can, I use a wrench, but I use the box end. Since the oxygen sensor is bad anyways, I will cut the wires off of it and use the box end to get a better fit on the sensor. You might also be able to use an offset wrench.

Now show how to do the pre CC sensor, it's easy to show how to do the post one and on my police package it has one sensor before the CC and one right in the center of the CC
