I love how you just sit and chat with your kids while they eat. I don’t take advantage of those times. I always feel like I have to do something else while they eat. Thank you for the reminder to be present, even for just a moment.

When I was raising my children in the 90’s I always made a point of sitting with them while they ate morning and afternoon, they would chat, fight, tell their fears, laugh giggle and tell stories while they sat at the table. Especially when they came home from school, first thing was put stuff away, relax and play for an hour then dinner. I would have a cup of tea while thy ate because I ate dinner later with my husband, but weekends we would all eat together. So in that time at the table we would sort out their day. I would ask them what made you happy today, what made you sad today, anything happen you need to share. Years later when my children were older I asked them what did they like most about their childhood , all three said dinner after school with you Mam, the routine and knowing I would listen and the problem solving meant so much to them and helped them learn how to stand up for themselves and be a good person, and also all the giggles and naughty stuff they got up to, it was hard to keep a straight face 😂. That time now to me is my precious time with my babies, it’s the time I reflect on and fills my heart. They are parents now themselves and it makes me smile when I see them sit with their children and say “Well how was your day kids” 🤗

Catherine fox such a beautiful thing to read that your kids asked for your time with them than anything in this world. Oh such a great reminder. I have a 5 year old & find it so difficult to send him to school everyday n just love to hug him tight at home time. I do sit with him a lot but now need to do it all the more. Thanks n god bless your family.

I cannot wait to see this! This couldn’t have come at a better time, as I have reorganized my morning and evening routines just over this weekend and the changes begin tomorrow morning! I’m a full-time working mom of two girls, ages 6 and 4. My hubby works opposite hours as me and we really don’t get to see each other during the week other than while sleeping. It is rough to conquer it all through my work life and home life, not to mention all of the school activities and helping care for my father who has a lot of health problems after losing his wife (my mom) not too long ago. I love you, Bri, and I know this video is going to be inspirational and the pick-me-up that I need! 🥰

When my son was a toddler, I split 50/50 custody with his dad and it caused him to also be INSANELY independent!!! So much so that it was a bit depressing to see how much other kids needed their mamas in comparison 😫😫😫. I would miss him for days then get him back only for him to refuse help *especially* in public. Now he’s 10 and always with me, but I can vouch that it’s definitely turned out for the best in the long run. In fact, he often offers to politely ask waitstaff for something I want or call a business for me to find out when they close bc he knows I can get a bit of social anxiety! 🤭 He comes in handy!

Elizabeth Sample Not going to lie, 3 is not easy! Especially with a young toddler. They still need so much attention as well and it’s so hard esp when you are so sleep deprived. My decision to leave my job came easily after my first child as with the long shifts I never saw her, plus my job had changed and I hated it. I am fortunate that my husband makes enough money for me to stay home. Daycare is crazy expensive where I live (Toronto Canada) so I would have been going to work for free in the end. Sometimes money is tight on a solo income but we make it work.

i've already watched this one twice, it's a beautiful video and I crave your positivity in the morning. I know it's not always glamorous and perfect but the way you try to hold your grace and power over your day is inspiring.

I truly believe the Lord lead me to this video! I was fighting to overcome postpartum depression when my grandmother died trapped inside of her home when it burned down two weeks ago. Now I'm back in a pit of darkness and I don't know how to bounce back. I love your realistic approach to the day and I especially love that you included your faith!

You inspired me to clear out my pantry and attempt to reorganize it. We've lived in our condo for about a year, so a lot of things were on-the-fly put in there and organized. I say attempt because it is just my husband and me right now and so we don't have a lot of multiples of things. However, clearing everything out and putting it back in really helped! I threw away a couple of expired things and saw a few things that I know I can incorporate into my meal plans to use them up. I also was able to declutter the space and get rid of the tools I will never use. I am so happy I found your KZbin and your blog! Next project: Our laundry room has a closet in it which stores my baking stuff and other more seasonal types of stuff such as my turkey platter. I am going to create more shelves so I can have a slot for cookie pans, muffin tins, and cake pans. Right now, they're just piled on top of each other.

When I was the only parent of a 3 year old and a baby I would get up at 4 am to get my alone time in! I miss those mornings of being alone sometimes. I just might start doing it again 🙂

Love this! I always try to wake up early but it only works for a few days then I’m super tired and not able to wake up early anymore lol. Since I was not able to do this, I stay up late after my kids are asleep I pray and read the Bible and have my time alone with God usually from 12AM to 2,3 or later. I’m a stay at home mom so this works best for me .

You mentioned your dad having ms and I feel very compelled to share this. I recently went to plant based vegan, gave up all caffeine , dairy, meat and fish for my own health issues and family history. I was telling my coworker and she said her cousin was diagnosed with ms 10 years ago and had some bad symptoms of ms. She decided after doing research to go plant based vegan and all her symptoms went away and she is living an amazingly healthy and happy life🥰 I hope this helps your life journey

I love watching your videos. Gives me energy to get up “early” now that I’m home all the time, so I can take advantage of my day. I tend to put too much on my plate daily... what is that curling iron you used?
