While I am currently working through a possible ADHD diagnosis, I tried calendar blocking in an effort to get more done each day but I discovered how much it enhanced my already inflexible temperament because (by nature) it is really tough to adhere to a strict schedule...you can't control your environment 100%. So I have recently adopted a routine very similar to yours, where I check in with myself about once every 1-2 hours to see what task is best to do at that particular moment, and I feel a lot less anxiety as a result. It is amazing just how much the feeling of anxiety can make any task take 10x longer to complete. This is a very helpful video...thank you so much!

this is such a wake up call. Here I am in bed at 12am thinking about how to start the week, what routine to follow, how to get things done and just stressing out. it was so relatable when she said that she thought she was just "lazy". It's a very difficult fact to accept that not everyone's personality is built to follow a set routine and for some people to be "productive" they just need to go with the flow. Me being one of them, this video really gave me hope and a new and positive outlook towards "routines" *I'll try to follow this and update if it works for me!*

I find myself being super strict and down on myself when I don't meet my own inflexible standards, and this is the perfect antidote. In a world where people on the internet (and society in general) are always "forcing" or "influencing" others to get up as earlier as possible to be successful, it actually makes me happy when I see a video like this. The world will be a much better place when we all understand that even tho "we are one", connected somehow, and going through so many things in our personal lives, we are also so different from each other, and that’s the beauty of everything. Definitely connect with ourselves and with our own flow is the key to everything. Thank you for sharing that with us 🥰

I think everyone has to try out what suits the most. Some like a strict schedule, some don't,some rise early, some late. The most important thing ist that we value and accept each other the way we are.
@romominiki16943 жыл бұрын
I think many people using this video for their excuses to being lazy. I don't know if someone wake up 11am then how their life would be healthy? Yeah in past I used to go to bed at 2 am & get up at 10am. That is so unhealthy. If your work is at night then you can do that but no routine thing is rubbish. You have to keep a decent routine. At least your bed time & wake up time should be fixed.
@luzdoinconsciente3 жыл бұрын
@@romominiki1694 I agree! I used to have a fucked up sleep schedule and I didn’t like it either. I’d rather sleep early and wake up early. I personally feel better with that nowadays. But I was able to change that because I wanted and because I realized it wasn’t doing me any good. That’s was my perception. I didn’t do it because someone told me I had to. And I feel like real change comes from within. That’s what I meant. One size does not fits all. It’s sick to force someone to change if they’re simply not there yet. And if there is something the media and the society does is to tell everyone what’s good and what’s not good for everyone. We should be the ones in charge and able to decide that, and also able to take the responsibilities of our own choices :)

I tried your routine for the first time today and WOW! I got up without an alarm, got dressed (didn't make bed like I usualy do), didn't write down all my small daily routines--just did them, and I've been busy and full of energy all day! I think youre on to something --at least for people like me who just need reminders of appointments, events, and things that are time sensitive and must be done before a deadline that I might forget if I don't write it down. I felt so much more relaxed and present in everything I was doing. By taking the pressure off myself toget as much done in as little time as possible, I got more done than I usually do! Instead of being rigid and overwhelmed, I just kept "doing the next thing." It felt so much more organic and mindful to get things done like that. I'll have to go back to see if I did something in every category (except exercise, which is a real challenge bc I don't like it). Anyway, just wanted you to know your presentation style and simple routine method helped me so much. Thank you so much! I also loved the tour of your grandma's apartment. I would love to see you do more apartment tours similar to hers. That is, apartments that make the most out of small 1 or 2 BR apartments like many of us seniors live in! It was so calming and relaxing to watch and listen to. I love the way everything in her apartment looks so neat, clean and orderly. She has everything she really needs/loves within easy reach without having a lot of unnecessary items taking up visual space. There are places for the eye to rest! She's my hero! I was inspired to make several small changes today to make my own apartment look and feel more peaceful. Please make more of these! PS-Love your music videos, too!

Having a relaxed morning, enjoying my hot chocolate with cinnamon while getting some sunshine and having breakfast with family is one one the things I look forward to every weekend. I agree with not rushing in the morning helps a lot in productivity. If I know that I have a busy day, I go to work early before anyone comes in to relax and organize my things. I’ve also been doing the intuitive approach of productivity. I’m listening to my body, and even if I’m not as productive as I would have wanted to, I don’t get bummed about it. I’m still productive, but I don’t label productivity as the amount of things I did anymore, but more like how I got better at them.

This is honestly so true. I watched like a video that was about 40-50ish minute long on youtube and when I started reviewing notes for a&p I actually felt like doing it

I am the same way! I find I’m happier and more productive when I allow myself to be flexible 💖 Love your videos btw! They are so helpful and aesthetically pleasing.

Taking it easy and reminding myself that I did all I could with the energy I had brings home the peace for me. Thanks for sharing.

This is very helpful! I've lately been struggling with similar things (feeling like I always force myself to do stuff, being stuck in a daily routine that is always the same etc). So I'll def try this out! I especially like the idea witg the four main priorities / categories that can then be moved around however I feel :D thank you! Update : Been trying the four categories approach for a week now (with slightly adapted categories) and it's going really well so far :))

I have to say that I see myself in this video, I watched many videos about productivity and routine and tried but they didn't work well. I realized that I'm not a kind of person who can stick in a fest routine. I did think that "being flexible" is "not productive". But no more now, thank you so much !

Exactly , I couldnt agree more , I have same tasks as you ( study from home, workout, chores, and work on my business) , and couldnt be productive untill I allowed myself to be flexible with my schedule , I believe that we are brainwashed by following strict regime , and be harsh on ourselves instead of being gentle with ourselves, and accept who we are as we are ( I love me even if I dont wake up early in the morning 😍) , thx for this lovely video

Wow this has helped to change my perspective! Most often I find myself feeling guilty because I want to stay in bed longer or rest more and so I’ll push myself to be productive but because I’m always running on low energy it effects my mood and my productivity. One of my resolutions this year is to say ‘no’ more often so i can look after myself. What do you usually do when you stay in bed for a couple of hours after your alarm goes off?

Hello, I'm your Russian subscriber. Great video! Psychologists say that the more you choose during the day, the more productive and self-confident you become. You just feel that you can control your life, not someone else)

I can relate to borrowing tops 😅 step one of minimalism is to get rid of yours, step two is to be happy about it... but step three is to raid somebody's closet for new looks 😁

Less stress also is vital to good health. That's one of the things to be careful about when it comes to getting distracted with news. There's only so much an individual can do. If you're sick or exhausted from pushing yourself too far you won't be able to be as productive anyhow. Just as Victoria says! I am fighting my social anxiety. It hinders me because start to become agoraphobic. Especially when watching the news too much! Easy to forget most people are kind, or at least just want to live their own lives. Being one's own friend is such good advice! 💞 Not easy to do that all the time.

It’s really interesting to me how things work so differently for everyone! I read some comments on here after I watched the video & a lot of people said that sticking to a time schedule made them even more unproductive, just like it is for you, but it actually makes me more productive! 😊 after this video I did learn that maybe waking up at 8am isn’t the best option for me, so I’m gonna try to give myself more freedom in that aspect 🧡

Totally agree! I am not naturally someone that wants to study for super long or exercise excessively . After paying more attention to my body, my motivation and my abilities it's helped me to have a better day. Thanks so much! Moving around key tasks that are done daily is a good method I'll have to try out. 😁❤️

This reminds me of the system, I don't remember what it's called. You take your to-do list and look at the first task and ask yourself"what do I want to do more than this task?" Find this task and do it, then after the next task that follows after the completed one ask again "what do I want to do more than this task?" Find it and do it and so on. I'm not sure if it's a good idea, cause you eventually you'll be doing the pleasant tasks.
