i-dime looks ok, but why not just build the memory directly into the case, if you've got to have the case on anyway. I just bought a 128gb microSD card for my phone, because I didn't buy a crippled iPhone for nearly twice the price.

I could use an Airing. But IMHO, there's no way you can stuff something in that small device which could pump some 500 ml at a time. And what kind of batteries would you need to operate that thing all night long? maybe if connected to a wall adapter...

5. The BuddyGuard: How does it work? Does it need batteries? Is it motion sensitive? The was a very poor presentation. 4. The sunglasses: Are you kidding me? 3. The idime: Good if you're a professional or 13 but an average Joe like me, it's not worth it. 2. The Airing: It never was proven it worked. It shows the farmer using it but never said it was successful. 1. SoloCam: What 'Joe Geek' came up with this one?

As a CPAP user... I can see one major issue with that, as designed... even IF those "little pumps" could deliver the pressure needed to keep your airway open... standard CPAP machines have a pressure regulator as different patients have various pressure requirements and may need adjustment over time... they also have a temperature regulator and a humidifier so your air passages don't dry out, especially in the winter months... so the major design issue I do see is that inserting that into your nose would cause general irritation, no matter how "soft" those were... and even if the battery lasted 8 hours... is it some form of standard battery that is rechargeable or is it a specialized new battery that will cost a small fortune? If this machine is sort of as simple as they say it is, you're talking a small battery and just some electrostatic air pumps... no flow meters, no heaters or humidifiers, no regulators... they should be very inexpensive and almost disposable... Another thing that appears skeptical... if they are ready for production... it has to have been clinically "tested" and "proven"... that guy in the "commercial" said he wanted to "try" it... in other words, no one has said they've used it and it works... if you go back and "look" at the adv... it says, in very small print in the corner "NON WORKING PROTOTYPE"... and when he's in bed with is it says, " COMFORT AND FIT TEST"... meaning there are not working components in it... it's just a pretty empty THING you can stick up your nose... or anywhere else... LOL... and the final statement is not accurate when that "doctor" (actor) says,"For the first time we HAVE A TREATMENT patients WILL BE willing to use"... well if it doesn't exist... how can that statement NOT be misleading and deceptive?... What they probably did is hire the doctor to talk about something and then cut it into this advertisement... and IF you go to their site... they are selling "VOUCHERS" for a product that may not be FDA approval if it even works... LMAO... if you want something that really works... I have a suppository that will cure the common cold... I think... BUTT you'll have to try it and, as they say, actual benefits may vary between individuals... (wink) Legal note: I have NOT claimed anyone in this video has lied or is being dishonest with their statements or intentions... I have only pointed out from my experiences and what I have seen in this video that makes me question the entire concept and product viability and it's ability to be medically evaluated and licensed for use.

It can't possibly work.. Average person breathes 60 liters of air a minute, that's 1 liter per second (not taking into consideration that it's an in and out breathing cycles, which would only make it more improbable) So by appearances, the capacity of the "micro pumps" inside could be around 2 cm3, which would mean the device has to pump 500 times a second (that's 500 Hz) in comparison your high end electric toothbrush is around 166Hz.. Would anyone want something like that on their face, how could you even sleep? Also to take into account in and out breathing cycles, your have to double that even..

Alari Truuts OTOH, if it worked at ultrasonic speed, it would be able to pump liters of air without making a noise (except to dogs.) Power considerations aside, it's not physically impossible. It's just much more likely to be a scam.

I'm EXTREMELY sceptical of the Airing, my wife has sleep apnoea and there's no way that little thing could force enough air in when she's obstructed without blowing itself out of her nose. Battery capacity too is EXTREMELY doubtful, at the end of the day expend 100watt/hours of power a battery has to be at least around 1kg so this is likely only something that keeps the nasal passages open which is not many cases of sleep apnoea.

The Airing sleep apnoea product is interesting but the guy is basically saying, "we need to raise money, sell a load of these things to a lot of people, and see how it works". Not "we've done clinical trials with a few thousand people, proved it works, therefore you can be confident buying it". That's totally the WRONG approach to a medical product. It's illegal in many jurisdictions to sell a medical product that hasn't been clinically trialled.

I honestly think the idime and airing is the only thing here that is useful. But airing just doesn't seem possible. It they somehow created a prototype that actually works as they intend it to, then it would be absolutely amazing and life changing for sleep apnea patients. But really, I think they're a long way from creating somethign that powerful.

Air ring is a fraud. Zinc Air is bullshit battery capable of milliamps. Elecrtostatic motors are huge even with milliwatts. This guy is stealing money. He should be thrown in jail.
@BrookNBones
@BrookNBones 8 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the very same thing. The electrostatic motors for the pumps he's saying it uses could not put out the 20 cmH2O required to open many airways. Cpap machines for lower range patients range from 4-20 cmH2O some as high as 35 for higher risk patients. The battery would function for a short time as well if it was capable of functioning at all for the amount of "pumps" he plans on putting in there. Whether it's one big pump or 200 small ones, that thing just isn't large enough to move the amount of air required without taxing the batteries beyond their limits. It's just to small. A 600mah at roughly 22ma battery just won't have the nuts behind it to last the 50 hours they're spec-ed at. It looks cool though. Reminds me of the nose plugs used by the bad guy in Ultraviolet. Might make a decent filter for those with regular sinus issues though.

I think we are going to see more and more fraud when it comes to crowd funding. This is going to be especially true with CPAP replacements because they it is so mechanical and since snoring is so prevalent, but mostly because fixing the snoring problem is so subject to attitude. Like Vitamin C, it works best when you "believe" in it.

the problem with airing which the inventor has not addressed is cpap machines contain quite a bit of technology to work out when someone is having an apnoae. apnoaes are caused by respiritory or brain. when you have an brain apnoea the machine kicks to make sure you breathe. i know i have both types. for severe brain apnoaes you need oxygen pressure. to say apnoaes are caused be peoples weight is wrong apnoaes can cause people to gain weight, die from heart attacks caused by adrenaline released by kidneys which then releases urine to the bladder so you have to get up and pee. you could empty your bladder and within half an hour be full again. treatment is better than nothing but psuedo technology like being promoted here is bad. it is a crowd funding project with no actual working model.

Nah you're absolutely right. keep parts to a minimum. First off there are cases with memory expansion. But I say google drive and photo work best. You're gonna pay for something. Why not jus t a higher data plan like an adult. Then no more worries in more areas. I have an android but really appreciate that my photos are backed up before i even know it. Where I regularly use them on other devices. In Google We Trust!
