I love seeing the creativity let loose in this game. And the dream codes are a great way of sharing that. I lack that spark of creativity to sculpt my island so instead I decided to keep it as a natural paradise. The most I did was recut some cliffs to better hold the natural ramps and reduced a connection river between the two main rivers to a creek.

My island’s starting to kinda develop two themes, though one is definitely dominant. One of the themes is an older European city kinda theme I guess, lots of the arched brick pathway and lots of spooky fencing. Further away from the entrance, it’s starting to develop a kinda cottagecore aesthetic.

I'm still working on my island, as I recently restarted from my last Island, Bamboka, a more traditional village. This new village is called "Mahi Mahi", both named after its more tropical design, as well as a reference to Mahi Mahi Resort in Splatoon. I'm still working on the main layout, as its much more expensive and expansive than my old village, but so far its coming along great. I plan on adding a story to it for when I make its Dream Adress Available, but right now I dont have nearly enough bells for that stuff yet .-. Hopefully you'll play it whenever I eventually finish it! ^-^

I keep watching these beautiful island tours and I’m just getting un motivated. I thought I knew how I wanted my island to look but now I want to redo a lot of things and I feel like I don’t have the motivation to. I started my island not doing so much terraforming but now I just want to change everything. It’s genuinely making me kinda sad. I want to make an island with 4 different themes, 1 for each corner, that come together in the middle or smth. I was thinking a royal or high class one with nooks cranny n stuff, next to it would be a cottage core field type thing with able sisters, behind that would be sort of an industrial city, maybe post apocalyptic, and to the right of that would be a beachy tropical area. I've been trying to do a horror island, but Lovecraft themed. Primarily Cthulhu. From seeing some horror islands and just in general, I don't know if I have the creativity for it. Especially when I just am such a casual gamer. I have the villagers positioned in a circle around a main raised area that's meant to be the resting place of Cthulhu as if they're all cultists just waiting for the day they can raise Cthulhu. The campground is positioned to insinuate that any campers are sacrifices, dragged out of their tent in the middle of the night. The rest is supposed to be a town that would lure people into a false sense of security. I still have so much work to do, but I'm hoping that there will be some items in October to help bring things together. It's difficult to do because so far it just feels like my island is just a hodgepodge of stuff.
